Chapter 21: Forever & Always

Cole and I landed back in the treehouse. He collapsed on the floor with grey blood pouring from his body. I hurriedly touched his wounds making the pain go away. “Cole?" I whispered. His eyes opened.

“Bella...."

“Are you okay? How did they get you?"

Cole groaned as he sat up. “Ugh, well after Hein snatched you away, four demons showed up and took me to Hell while I was entrapped. I tried to fight them but it was in vain. But none of that matters. How did you escape Hein?"

“Well he was about to rape me but..."

Cole stiffened.

“But I was able to break free and kill him before he got the chance. It was only by the grace of God though."

Cole pulled me into his arms. “Oh and Ryan left," I continued. “He was so irate and hateful towards me so I kicked him out."

“Im sorry," Cole murmured as he held me. “I know you guys were close friends."

“Its okay. Sometimes when people make it clear they don't want you, you've gotta let them go."

“Babe, do you think we could take a break for a while? Not you and me but from hunting demons. We've both been through a lot and I think it'd be good for both of us to just get a rest period for just us."

“Yeah, Cole. I think that's a great idea," I agreed. “I need a break and frankly, I want some time where I can just be with you."

“Same. What do you think about a 1 month vacation? Just us?"

I smiled. “I wouldn't pass it up for the world."

“Thats my girl," Cole grinned as he leaned down to kiss me.
