"I think we should get going. I still need to call grandpa and make sure he's free." I said, standing up. "You sure you don't wanna stick around for dinner? Maybe have some more sandwiches?" Lay laughed...again. "I'm gonna drop kick you in a second." I scolded Lay before being guided out of the kitchen by CJ.
"It has been a nightmare guys...Thanks for nothing. See you when I see you." I said to the rest of Exo. "Rude." Baekhyun scoffed. "I know." I mumbled. "See you in the morning for breakfast Suho-Hyung." CJ said being a smidge more polite than me. "I look forward to it...See you in the morning Ara." Suho smiled at me. I rolled my eyes and walked to an elevator with CJ following in toe.
"So...After that experience...Are you still an Exo -L?" I jokingly asked my son. "Actually...Yes. They mean well. They are very friendly and funny. They care a lot about you too." Cj said that last part quietly, thinking I didn't hear him. "I heard that. What do you mean?" "Well...Baekhyun, Xiumin, D.O, Kai, Chanyeol and Chen all consider you an older sister figure and value your friendship and company. Suho is extremely desperate for your affection and approval. I honestly think Xiumin and Sehun have a thing for you like Suho does...just not as extreme...It's more like a casual crush." "Wonderful...Have I ever told you that you are amazing at reading people?" "No ma'am." "What about Lay?" "Why are you worried about what Lay thinks of you?" "I-I'm not...You mentioned what everyone else thinks of me but you left him out...That's all..." I got slightly embarrassed. "Lay...I'm not sure..." CJ was obviously lying. "Are you lying to me?" "Yes I am." CJ answered boldly. "Chung Jae Kutra. Do not lie to your mother." I scolded my son as we got off the elevator. "I'm sorry mom...I just need to save that information....You need to figure it out yourself." CJ said, walking ahead of me.
What on earth did Exo do to my child. He's handing me random information I don't care about and leaving out the most important parts without any kind of explanation. What kind of garbage is this?
We walked home and made to our apartment. CJ went to his room to study and I called my Dad.
"Hello?" "Hey Dad." "Sweety! What's up? I haven't heard from you in forever!" "Sorry about that...I've been super busy an-" "You haven't ran off your boyfriend yet...have you?"
Before you question my father's question...I owe you an explanation. I may or may not have lied to my father and said I do have a boyfriend...So he wouldn't worry about me being lonely. I'm honestly fine with raising CJ as a single parent but my father thinks otherwise...So he thinks I've been in a relationship with an unnamed casanova for the last 3 months.
"N-no sir." I lied. "I wanna meet him. How's about bringing over for CJ's birthday tommorow?" My heart dropped into my stomach. "Uh...O-okay..." "Are you feeling alright? You never stutter this much?" "I'm fine Dad. I love you. See you tomorrow." I hung up. "What am I going to do?!" I yelled out in emotional agony. I threw myself onto the couch, desperately trying to think of a plan. "Have we been caught in a lie...Mother?" CJ came into the living room. "I'm a bad role model, okay?" I buried my face in a pillow. "You're a great role model...You just make poor choices...Do you need a suggestion to help you out of this situation?" "Please." I was in utter defeat. "Why not get a member of Exo to pretend to be your boyfriend?" I looked at my son in disgust. "No. No. No. God, No." "It won't be that bad." CJ tried reasoning with me. "I can't do that. It's so unprofessional." I tried defending myself. "So is having their snapchats." CJ said blandly. "Fine." I groaned. I went to my phone contacts and questioned who I should pick. "Who would be the chillest about pretending to be my boyfriend for the sake of helping me lie to my father?" I asked myself outloud. "I vote Lay-Hyung." CJ said boldly.
