We got to my apartment and Yixing told me not to go into the kitchen while he cooked. "I have not set foot in my kitchen in like 3 days. I'm going into my kitchen." I said slamming the kitchen door open. "Why is my kitchen so messy?" I said, blankly staring at a mountain of dirty dishes in my sink. "I swear I was gonna clean those up tonight." Yixing said defensively. I rolled my eyes and hoped onto the island in the center of my kitchen. "What kind of sandwich do you want?" Yixing laughed lightly. "Can I have a grilled cheese?" "A what?" Yixing looked puzzled. "Oh my God! You've never heard of a grilled cheese?" I was shocked. I guess this is what happens when you're raised by an American. "I have never heard of a grilled cheese. Walk me through how you make one." Yixing smiled. "Okay...you need bread, butter and cheese." I said, coaching Yixing.
I walked him through the process of making my most beloved childhood meal as he questioned everything I told him.
After he finished making them,i told him to cut them. He almost cut them straight. "No! You gotta do it diagonally!" I whined. "Why?" Yixing looked slightly triggered by my shouting. "They taste better like that..." I laughed a little. "You're kidding right? The direction that you cut a sandwich changes the taste?" He sounded sceptical. "Duh." I rolled my eyes. "You're the sandwich expert here. I won't question you any further." Yixing said, handing me my plate and kissing me softly. "Thank you." I smiled largely.
We enjoyed our sandwiches in the kitchen. I watched Yixing clean up all of his messes from the last few days and thought about what a crazy weekend I've had.
Suddenly, there was a loud banging on my front door. "Ara! Open up!" I heard an enraged Chen. I giggled to myself as I left the kitchen to answer my door. "Yes Chen?" I smiled sweetly, not so subtlety flashing my engagement ring in his face. "Where the hell is my unicorn!?" Chen sounded so angry. "Spending time with his fiancée..." I said, trying really hard to piss Chen off. "Lay!" Chen yelled, inviting himself into my home. "Yes Chen?" Yixing came out of the kitchen with a a string of cheese hanging out of his mouth. "I thought you agreed to wait to do this shit! We had a plan!" Chen yelled angrily. "I couldn't wait. I'm sorry. I had the ring with me. I had the chance to ask her and I did. It was spontaneous." Yixing defended himself. "I'm aggravated right now." Chen crossed his arms. "I know...I'm sorry." Yixing lowered his eye but maintained a slight curve in the corner of his mouth. "Ara, will you be attending the banquet tomorrow evening?" Chen turned to me. "As soon as Yixing forcefully takes me dress shopping." I smiled sarcastically. "She doesn't wanna go." Yixing said. "You gotta go...If all the other stylist are going...then so are you." Chen stuck his tongue out at me like a 4 year old. "Itll be the perfect place for you two to go public." Chen smirked, exiting my apartment before either one of us could say anything to him. "Go public?" I said softly. "If we don't say something... he will." Yixing said in an ominous tone.So...we're reading Of Mice And Men in my English class and I gotta say...I get why its such a classic. I learned a new synonym for hoe...Tart😂😂😂
