A/N: I'm actually proud of how good I've done these Sang chapters, because it's in Sang's head, but it's not about Sang exactly. She's just aiding the plot to chug along at a good speed.

Also! Thank you for all the reads! 1,500+ is more than I've ever gotten, and I'm glad that you guys are enjoying this story, even though its out of the ordinary :D

--- Sang's Pov ---

"What do you mean, 'her stepmother knew'?" Mr. Blackbourne questioned.

"I think she was testing things on her, deeming them punishments for exploring the world outside her house. She first tried to see how long her healing would take by constantly making her kneel, until she found her magic number when she began to scar. Then, possibly thinking she would 'help' Sang quench her thirst for more than water, and not knowing that her bloodlust would take awhile to develop if it did at all, she burned her throat with vinegar. Lastly, she went totally crazy and decided burning her with hot water would scar her enough if she kept it constantly flowing until she suffocated," Cody explained. I teared up, finally realizing what he was trying to say.

'Was she trying to kill me in the end?'

"The poor thing," Sean cooed softly, pulling me up into a hug.

"Where were you when this was all going down?" Mr. Blackbourne barked at the boys.

"We tried to save her from what we could once we found out what was happening. We even alerted the Academy, but they told us to proceed slowly and gently, because we could have spooked her mother into something rash," Kota answered.

"It seems your Academy didn't make the right decision," Sean said, glowering.

"My stepmother is why I decided to come with the boys today," I said, breaking the growing tension between the two sets of boys, "It's also why I walked back in here, even after the boys said Akuma was here and I just pointed a gun at him...w-wait, you're Akuma, a-aren't you?" I asked shakily.

"Yes, Sang. But I'm not dangerous. I only hurt those who have done a far greater hurt to me, so you're safe."

I nodded, knowing he was telling the truth. I then continued on with my monologue, "I was hoping to find my father and ask him who killed my mother and if she really is dead."

"I too would like to ask your father a few questions," Sean muttered, "So I'd like to help you find him."

"Really, Sean?" I asked, excited.

"Yes, you can stay here for the time being and I'll have Cody try to track down your father's location."

"That's fine," I said with a nod.

"Oh no it isn't. You are not taking another part of our family to use and abuse into doing what you want them to, you leech," North bellowed.

"North, we aren't doing this again. I'm not doing this ring-a-round thing again with any of you. I'm my own person and right now, I'm choosing to stay with Sean for a little while. It's not forever- just until we find our common interest. If you boys don't want to stick around, that's fine. But I'm not going to give up an opportunity to find out who I really am, only to go home to more lies about this stupid Academy that everyone refuses to explain to me. Oh, but keep talking about it like I'm just a child who can't comprehend the little slip-ups you all make. That'll really make me want to go home."

"But Sang-" Kota began to speak, but I cut him off.

"I want you all in my life, but not when you can't open your minds enough to support me. It's your choice whether or not you stand by me right now, but my mind Is made up."
