--- Owen's Pov ---

"North Star," Sang blinked sweetly, walking into the newly designed Council room.

It was more available now that Sean announced the new management of the Academy over a year ago. Everyone seemed more comfortable with the new atmosphere, and missions were going better than ever. The success rates of newly formed teams were higher than ever before, as they were assigned based on compatibility, rather than the year in which you were in training.

I was in the Council room, recalculating the graphs for this year's income from missions, which Kota was supposed to have done a week ago. However, it seemed like his date night with Sang lasted about a half a week longer than it meant to, and he couldn't even focus on the thought of counting correctly, much less doing percentages and finances.

"Yeah, Sang Baby? What do you need?" North asked.

Out of everyone, he was the one that was the most attentive to Sang. It was a huge surprise, and it seemed to annoy the rest of the boys, that he was always the most available when she needed someone's assistance.

It was evident even now, when every one of the boys looked around at each other, down at their work, and let out a long sigh.

"How are the new recruit files going?" She asked, sitting on his desk.

The boys seemed to perk up again at the mention of work instead of play.

'Jeez... I'm surprised her uncle hasn't convinced her to put these pups on some leashes... or at least collar them.'

It seemed like North and Kota were working on it, however, as they were just about waging their tails whenever she was in the vicinity.

"Nothing I couldn't handle," North smirked.

"Anyone catch your eye in this spring's batch?" She leaned over, taking the folders in her hands.

"There's this one girl that stands out. She's the only one in her group, actually. It says that she's one of the Academy-raised ones."

"I'm not sure if that's going to be a good or bad thing," Sang frowned, flipping through the files.

Suddenly, she stopped.

"Owen. You may want to look at this one," Sang said lowly, handing me one of the blue folders.

Looking at the folder, I held my breath.

The girl in the picture had black hair that could only be compared to a midnight sky. It laid softly across her face, framing it in a heart shape and ended at chest length, which would be enticing to many she'd meet in the future, I'm sure of it.

Her lips appeared to be stained red and in a natural pout, even at her age of fourteen. It would get her in a significant amount of trouble, no doubt.

Her eyes, even in the picture, stared through to your soul and made you want to spill every secret you had, which would be a good asset for the Academy. They were a low blue, almost gray when in the correct lighting.

I looked at her name. Quinn Bla...

"Is this really her?" I whispered, looking up at Sang.

"I think we found the bird we've been waiting for," she grinned.

"Sean!" I yelled, running through the halls until I found him in one of the new training rooms we were building.

"Owen! Whoa, you're in a hurry," he chuckled, catching me as I ran straight into his arms, almost knocking us both over.

"Look at this," I whispered, trying to catch my breath.

He took the file out of my hand, scanning it over with a glance.

"Quinn, hmm? That wouldn't have been a name I'd give this one. She looks more like an Alexandria, or Elizabeth, or maybe Lucinda? Quinn is unexpected," Sean mumbled.

"But is it her?" I choked out.

"Definitely. I wouldn't forget those eyes."

"What are you guys talking about?" Cody chuckled, bouncing over to us.

"Cody, get the fuck back over here," Olivia growled as she ran after him.

"No," he frowned. "If you're serious, and you want to adopt a boy and name him Cornelius then don't even talk to me right now. Gosh! Pick up a baby book for once!"

"What's your amazing name then! Something common like Ryan or Alec?"

"They're better than Cornelius! It sounds like a damn vegetable," Cody grumbled, sticking his tongue out in Olivia's direction.

He turned to look at us again before looking down to the blue folder. "Oh, are you looking at recruits? What stands out in this one?" He asked, reaching out to touch the folder, but he stopped suddenly.

"She's something special, alright. She has the similar potential as Sang, but she's human. She doesn't know her worth yet, but we'll lead her on the right path before its time to meet," Cody whispered, staring off in space.

"I won't meet her yet?" I asked softly.

"No, it'll be awhile before you meet her. Not until she's eighteen, at least. But she won't need you until then, either."

"She's going to need me?" I whispered.

"She's going to need all of us, but especially her brother, Owen," he reassured me.

'It's nice, to feel needed again. I hadn't had to worry since Sang has learned how to keep the boys in line, and keep them working. So ever since we took over the Academy, the only one that's needed me is Sean.'

"Don't over think it, Kijo," Sean whispered, wrapping his arms around my waist. "She'll find you when the time is right. She needs to find her own way, and find her own people she thinks she can rely on before she's ready to meet you, and find out how luck she is to have a brother like you."

I kissed him softly.

"Thank you, Sir. I really needed that," I whispered.

"I know. I always make sure you get exactly what you need, even if I have to destroy the world around us for you to have it. You deserve the world, and I'm at your beck and call to give it to you, just as much as you think you are for me."

"I love you so much, Sean," I grinned.

"I love you more than I can express in words, Owen. We've been through a lot, but I know we'll come out on top every time, as long as we're by each other's side," he whispered softly, kissing me until I forgot how much time passed while we were down in that training room.

We'd find my sister, eventually, but not when we expected it. She was a Blackbourne, after all, so she'd never do the expected.

A/N: Now that's the end of this book... The last chapter will be coming sometime last week, and it will also be standing as the prologue of the next book.

If you were curious, the next book will be called "The Academy Vampire: A New Breed". What do you think that means? :) I don't have a cover for it yet, so if you have any ideas, I'd definitely welcome them!
