--- Gabriel's Pov ---

"Well..." Sang trailed off.

"Get on with it!" Cody snapped. "It feels like I've been waiting weeks for this!"

Olivia smacked Cody upside the head. "Cody, Be sensitive. You're acting like Asher."

"But if I act like Asher, will you kiss my head better?" Cody puckered his lips.

Olivia bent down to Cody's level, balancing on her feet as she lifted a finger to his forehead, pushing him back.

"Nope," Olivia said with a 'pop!'.

"Oh, come on!" Cody whined.

"Anyway," Sang huffed. "I wanted to talk to you about Luke."

"What about him?" I asked, cocking my head to the side.

"How do you feel about him?" She asked softly.

"I think I love him," I answered.

"What about Nikolai?" She asked.

"I love him with all my being," I answered matter-a-factly.

"What about me? Do you love me?" She whispered, looking away.

"I..." I couldn't answer.

"In this moment, right now, do you love me?" She reiterated.

"I... I don't think I do. I could in the future, possibly... But I don't know. I care about you so much, Sang. But is it love? Like, the kind of love that I feel for Nikolai or Luke? No, not right now."

Sang grabbed my face, pulling me closer until we were eye-to-eye.

"Thank you, Gabriel. For being truthful with me, and with yourself," she whispered.

"But I don't understand. How can I be one of your life mates...but not be in love with you?" I said, looking between Sang and the cuddling couple.

"Because someone told you things before she was supposed to, creating this whole mess," Cody sighed.

"I said I was sorry," Olivia said, throwing her hands up into the air.

"You did your best, Livvy. It's your first time being involved in humans' and changeling's lives. Cognition isn't for everyone," Cody said, bopping her nose. She seemed like she was ready to bite that finger off.

"But, these things happen," Cody said, turning to look at us, again. "Olivia sensed your potential to love all of your men, including Gabriel. That doesn't have to be in the immediate future. It could be months from now, or it could be years, or a decade. Love isn't something to be rushed. It's something to be felt when the time is right."

"So you don't see anything in the near future... involving us?" Sang asked.

"I see a lot in both of your futures. Too much for me to handle, sometimes." Cody looked directly at me. "You'll be having quite the night, pretty soon. But no, you won't be messing around with each other anytime soon. You've both got enough boys to entertain yourself with before you start exploring one another."

"Now," Olivia stretched up, grabbing Cody by the ear and pulling him up, "Get up. It's time for us to go home and relax. We're both too tired and too emotional to deal with everyone today."
