A/N: Here's the next chapter. Most of this chapter is just Gabriel/Nikolai with some Sang commentary until the last bit at the end, which I know most of you won't complain about that xD

Hope you enjoy it anyway!

---- Sang's Pov -----

The dinner went well, to say the least. Not one argument happened and once Sean was allowed to cook, he was so happy, that he decided to make dessert, too.

Which is why, two hours after dinner, I found myself lying face down on the couch, groaning as my stomach felt disgusting. The boys decided that they would leave me alone for a little while, but Gabriel was insistent that he would be my nurse for the time being. Everyone had gone home, except for Nikolai, Elijah, and Cody, who were in some sort of meeting with Sean in his office, I think.

"You still not feeling good, Trouble?" Gabriel asked, rubbing my back softly, as to not jostle me.

"Yeah," I groaned, turning my head to look at him. Currently, he was sitting in front of the couch, rubbing my back as he subconsciously stared off into space, though the television on one of the walls was on.

"Why didn't you just listen to the boys and not eat the food? You could have saved yourself some trouble, Trouble."

"I wanted to give him a chance, at least. How am I supposed to deny him that, Gabriel?" I grumbled.

"That's one of the many things I like about you," he said suddenly.

"What?"

"You always think to put people on equal ground and you give them chances to prove you wrong, even if they don't deserve them..."

"Are you talking about the boys?" I asked softly.

"You can interpret what I said whatever way you like, but when it comes down to it, we both know what I'm talking about."

Before I could speak again, I noticed Nikolai walked into the room and we made eye contact. However, that simple action apparently warranted a glare from him as he glanced between Gabriel's position on the floor, to me, then back to Gabriel. Sitting down on the couch, he turned and watched what was on the television without another glance towards us.

I thought he was going sit there peacefully in silence, but he proved me wrong when he turned and stared directly at me when he said, "I don't like you."

Gabriel instantly sprang up and stomped his way over to where Nikolai was sitting.

"Go ahead and be an asshole to me, but leave her out of this. Are you going to let me explain or are you going to act like this all night?"

"I'm sorry, did I do something to offend you? It seems like I only sat down on my friend's couch. Do you own this couch? No, I don't think you do. So, go back to sitting with your little girlfriend and I'll do my own thing. I don't need you around for me to be happy."

'Whoa that's really harsh. Why is he acting like this with Gabriel? What did I even do to make him so mad?'

"No, we're not doing this. I'm not going to let you act like I don't mean anything to you. You don't want to admit it, but I know you feel something for me. You said it upstairs earlier, even if you want to forget it because I said one stupid thing at the wrong time."

"So are you saying that you didn't mean what you said in that kitchen, at all?" Nikolai asked, a skeptical look on his face.

"What did he say?" I asked softly, slowly moving to a sitting position.
