--- Sang's Pov ---

"He should be in here?" I asked, walking up to the door of a pretty decent-sized home. From the outside, I'd expect it to be about a four bedroom, two bath kinda house, enough to hold a few kids. It was in a secluded area, with a woodsy area behind it, giving a sense of privacy to the home.

Cody nodded. "We tracked him to this location."

I sighed, clenching my fists.

'This is it. I'm finally going to know what happened to my mother."

I walked up the steps to the door, Sean trailing behind me.

"I can do this," I breathed, trying to steady my movements as I stood in front of the door. Raising a semi-shaking fist, I knocked on the door.

"Coming!" A cheerful male voice called, and footsteps radiated as they became louder, signaling someone was coming towards the door.

The door swung open, revealing a boy no older than twelve standing in the doorway.

"May I help you?" He asked, looking up at us.

Sean and I both looked at each other.

"I'm sorry, I think we got the wrong house number. We were looking for a Mr. Sorenson," Sean explained a hand on my back as he ushered me to follow him away from the door.

"Alex, who was at the do-," A man said.

Sean and I turned around simultaneously, making eye contact with my father.

The three of us were frozen for a few seconds before my father leapt into action, slamming the door, locking it.

Sean and I were in shock, or we would have leapt into action sooner.

'He always did say he wanted a son.'

Sean took off around the house, and I followed him a second slower. Everyone from the cars leapt into action as well, following us around the house, only to find the backdoor wide open and footsteps in the mud leading to the woods.

Sean processed the information quickly, turning on his heels and following the trail of footsteps like a dog with a scent.

I ran behind him and into the woods, but I couldn't keep up with his speed.

The woods were something I was familiar with from years of tree-climbing and hiding out, so I picked up speed, navigating my way through my element.

Eventually, I saw Sean stopped up ahead, and I slowed my pace down as I accessed the situation.

Sean had my father cornered. He didn't have his hands on him, but I think my father realized that no matter where he ran, Sean would find him.

"I remember you," my father growled out, pointing a shaky finger at Sean.

"Little 'ole me?" Sean whispered pointing at himself with fake-innocence. "I'm honored you remember me. But I'm sad to say I can't say the same about you. That is, besides you being Sang's father, and the one to impregnate my sister. It must be all the dead corpses that I see a week. That really messes with the whole face-recognition thing, you would think?"

He stepped forward, circling my father slowly.

"We just have a few questions for you, that's all. Answer them correctly, and we'll send you on your way," he rubbed a hand up my father's arm, "Answer them wrong? We'll see what we'll be doing with you. Simple enough?" Sean asked.
