Hello Kitty's. This is kinda a more sad, but important topic suggested by a friend of mine, who is not on wattpad. Shout out to A anyways! But seriously a broken heart is not fun and yes.. I have a broken heart right now to. But having a broken heart isn't just when you get dumped or break up with a guy. It can be because a relative has past, or maybe you did bad in school, or you're just depressed and don't know why. And there is a few things that I personally do that I find help a lot. It doesn't heal completely but that's just because especially if you loved someone, things don't go back to the way they were. But we can learn and move on.
*Disclaimer* I know I do a lot of advice chapters and I Will also be adding natural remedies and mental illness but I AM NOT a doctor or counselor yet. Yes I am studying to be mental health counselor and to prescribe medicine and diagnose illness and Most of the time I know what I am talking about. I am very intelligent in this area and it is my passion. But please don't rely on my advice alone if you think that what I write applies to you. I am here to give you advice and guide you. If you think that you have anything I write about please consult a licensed doctor. Or wait 4 years until I have my PhD :) then yall can call me Dr. Ivy.
And now on to the real stuff
1. Let go. You have to let go of the past. What ever happend happend. It's in the past and you have no control over it anymore. But you do have control of the future,... kind of. Example, you and you boyfriend broke up. You can never changed this and one of my besties worded this beautifully
"'You will be hurt for a while, it may be a couple of weeks or maybe days. And every time you look at him your world will fall apart all over again. You'll feel like crying and that's fine to cry, nothing wrong. It's normal to feel that away after someone you loved broke you. After this, after you get over him you'll be strong and he'll see what he missed out on and YOU will be the one fine and he'll be a f***ing mess.

and actually shout out to all my besties for being strong when i was weak.
But I realized that I can control what happens to me next and so can you. Be the kind of girl who says if you want me, it's my choice this time.
2. It's okay to set goals. I do this and I don't want to talk to much about it but if you are 100% sure that this is something you want, tell yourself okay no matter what I'm going to do this. I remind myself what I want and that I have the power to get what I want whenever I see what has hurt me.
3. Say affirmations. I do this every morning and night. Say things that make you feel happy. An example is "I am okay" "I am happy" "I attract love into my life"
4. Get away of reminders. I get depressed whenever I am reminded of my dad so I avoid it at all costs. Stay away from what is hurting you.
5. Be with friends who care. Friends are the ones who hold you when you cry, sooth you when you're a mess, and tell you to get up and over the damn bridge already because you deserve better. * I love you guys you know who you are*
6. Listen to uplifting music. Sometimes the music you need can't have words. Because your story is too precious and unique to fit someone else's voice. Add your own words, and just say what you feel. I'm going to link some of my favorites.

7. Light candles. Candles are just so peaceful and relaxing. The scents are better and the dimmed lights help with calming down and just thinking.
8. Do some yoga. Any exercise will do but I say yoga because you don't have to be super athletic to do it. It helps balance out your brain chemicals and just really improve your mood.
9. Get a charm. It sounds weird, but it really helps to have something that had meaning to you around you at all times. I personally carry a Rosary and a necklace with rose quartz.
10. Change. Not completely but just something little. This is the best thing you can do for yourself because it allows you to feel like a new person. A lot of girls change their hair. I personally changed my hair, cloths, music, and behavior. I went kind of extreme, but if you feel like something should change, then do it. Don't let anything hold you back.
