In Your Arms (A Brannie Fanfic)

Chapter Two

Katie's POV:
I grabbed everyone's mugs and sat them in the sink. We were all laughing and talking, like a family. Even Brennan and Annie were chatting away.
We didn't have gymnastics anymore, so we just had to wait out the worst of the storm.
Suddenly, Annie's phone rang. She silenced us all and answered on speaker.
"Hello?" Annie said.
Her mom answered.
"Hey, Sweetie. So school is probably going to be canceled the next couple of days. I talked to Ms. Jill and she's okay with you and Caleb staying there while they are gone. She said Ryan is going to his friends and we can have Tessa over here for Hayley, so you can all have a fun break." Ms. Katie explained.
They said their goodbyes and I love yous and hung up. We smiled excitedly.
After that we started to calm down. Everyone was either on their phones or chatting silently with Hayley and Ryan, who came upstairs to join us.
It was quiet and peaceful, and Annie coughed before speaking.
"So it looks like the storm isn't to bad now. It's not that deep so the car will still make it through. Brennan, Katie, I'll see you tomorrow!" Annie squealed.
She grabbed her and Hayley's bags while Caleb slung his around his shoulder and carried Hayley, who was half asleep.
I laughed and they walked out the door.

Annie's POV:
We shrieked at the cold and ran inside the car once again.
"We should take the truck tomorrow." Caleb heaved.
"Caleb, can you drive? I'm still new to this and there might be ice and-"
"It's good experience." Caleb said, cutting me off. I sighed and turned on the car. The heat came blasting in and I turned down the Christmas music so Hayley could sleep.
The drive was surprisingly easy and quiet. Caleb went on his phone and Hayley was asleep. I grinned at the peacefulness.

We got home and the storm was practically gone. All that was left was the thick layer of cold snow.
We carried in our bags and Hayley, who was still asleep, and it was only 6:00. Mom and Dad greeted us and j left to go pack upstairs. We were going to be with Brennan and Katie-Kate for a week and a half, so I needed quiet a few outfits.
I tossed in some undergarments and leggings, dark washed jeans, sweaters, cardigans and tops. I finished off with toiletries and makeup, and stood back astonished at how fast I packed. I zipped my huge bag closed and added more leos and shorts to my gym bag and left to help Hayley pack for Tessa's house.

Brennan's POV:
After everyone left I waved at Katie and went downstairs to my room. After I turned 15 my parents decided to give me the guest room, so I could have my own space like Katie. We really need a bigger house. This year my parents have been talking about it lots.
I plopped on to my bed and sighed. Today was pretty fun, even though there was a huge storm. I looked outside at the bright snow shining in. Another storm was building up. I groaned and went to play FIFA.

Katie's POV:
I cleaned the house a bit to make mom happy. As I was tossing the last box of cereal into the cupboard she opened the door, letting snow from the new storm inside.
"
RWooh!" She yelled, Dad following her. I ran up to hug him.
"Hey Katie Cat." He grinned, hugging me back. Soon after, Ryan and Brennan came upstairs too and hugged our Dad, who, although just came back, was leaving tomorrow morning.
We all settled down a talked about Dads adventure while Mum took Ryan to his friends for the week.
"It wasn't even cold out. It felt like fall again!" Dad laughed. I giggled and motioned him to continue on. Grandma had been pretty interesting with Alzeimers. He said she didn't even know who her son or husband were.
"Well it's getting late. I'm going to bed.
Love you!" I yawned to my family. I grabbed my phone and went to my room. I decided to text Annie before I went to sleep.
(A=Annie and K=Katie)
K- Hey! So excited for tomorrow!!!
A- Ikr! Gah it'll be crazy😂
K- do you think we should throw a party? You know, start it off fun?😏😂
A- sure, if you want to. It's not like we haven't done it before😝
K- ik ik. Well I'm going to bed, love you bae💜
A- Love you too💜
I shut off my phone and changed into shorts and a tank top. It may be cold outside, but no matter what, I always get too hot during my sleep. I slipped under the covers and stared at the fan above me. This weekend was going to be fun.

Shorter chapter. How is the party going to go? Will Annie finally discover Brennan's feelings for her?
