Katie's POV:
I woke up with a grin on my face. Today, I was finally leaving the hospital, moving in to our new house, and starting gymnastics again. It was a good day.
I grabbed my few belongings and changed in to the clothes my mom brought me.
The nurse came in.
"Looks like you're good to go Katie!" She said, looking down at her clipboard. I jumped up and started to go out of the door.
My parents were waiting.
"We talked to the front desk and signed your papers. We can go to the house and get out things!" Mom shrieked happily. I laughed as my phone went off. Pulling it out if my pocket I noticed it was an Instagram notification. I turned those off?
'You have 21,156 Instagram notifications.' It read. As I entered Instagram I noticed they were all comments. I searched through the comments and was taken aback by what they said. I shut off my phone and smiled at my family.
"Let's go!" I grinned.

Annie's POV:
I stood up and groggily changed my clothes. I was wearing Brennan's sweater, but I just changed my pyjama pants into leggings. I brushed my hair and applied a little makeup and slowly went downstairs. My parents handed me a coffee, since I've been having a lot of it recently. I usually hate the feel of the caffeine, but I've needed it from being so tired.
I was offered some cereal but turned it down. Suddenly Brennan came down and grabbed two bowls.
"You know Annie, it's pretty good stuff. And you're gonna need the strength for gym today." He smirked. I glared playfully and poured cereal for myself. I ate slowly and packed my bags.
"See you guys!" Brennan shouted to my parents. Today was our last day before Christmas break.
His parents had gone to get Katie and start moving the boxes into their new house.
I hopped inside the truck to drive. Brennan got in next to me.
I waited to here Caleb say "and we're off!" Like he used to do, but like every morning, he wasn't there.
"I miss them." I murmured, backing out of the driveway.
"They'll both be back after break. Katie comes today." Brennan assured me.
We got to school and kissed before heading our separate ways.
"Hey." Mia and Arden mumbled to me at their lockers. Syd wasn't with them.
"Where's Syd?" I asked.
"Your brother broke her heart. She can't even function properly. They took her on vacation a day early to get her mind off things." Mia said, glaring slightly. Her and Syd have gotten pretty close these past couple years.
"You know thats not my fault, Mia." I growled back. She rolled her eyes and I slammed my locker to head to class.
"Ma'am!" The teacher shouted, but I kept walking.
My friends just don't understand.

Brennan's POV:
I sat at the back of social studies, my favourite class. Brady sat his bag down in the desk across from mine.
He's been inching closer and closer to me, and I really miss hanging out with him. Other than Caleb, he is my best friend.
"Okay class. Today we will be continuing our notes on..." The teacher went on. I rolled my eyes and pulled out my notebook. This was going to be a long class.
-Later-
Finally, the lunch bell rang. I ran across the school to the table in the hall next to Annie's home room, but it was only Arden and Mia sitting there.
"Where's Annie?" I asked the two.
"Don't know. Hey, could you talk to Caleb? Syds kind of-"
I left her talking to look for Annie. I knocked the wall outside the girls bathroom.
"Annie?" I shouted. I heard bags rustling and heels clicking against the floor.
"Yeah?" My girlfriends voice yelled out. I looked around, then quickly stepped in. She locked the door behind me.
"Brennan, what are you doing?" She hissed. Her face was puffy.
"Have you been crying?" I asked, cupping her face.
"No no no, I, uh, got allergies." She said in a fake smile.
"Annie...what's wrong?" I said, my own happy mood fading.
"Nothing! I'm fine." She grinned again.
"Annie, I know you're not. Please, just talk to-"
"I'm fine Brennan! Leave me alone!" She said, pulling away from my embrace.
"You're not fine! You're brother just came out of a coma, your friend is mad at your brother, you're grades are dropping and you're losing weight just like that! You're not fine Annie!" I yelled back. She looked at me and stopped pulling away. Tears started coming.
"You know what, you're right. I should go." She sniffled and ran out. I came out past her in to the busy halls.
"Annie!" I said, trying to grab her again.
"Stop! Stop trying to fix it all! You're making it worse!" She screamed as all eyes turned on us.
"I'll be back in a few days. Just let me be, please." She mumbled and ran out of the school. Everyone just stared at me. I was in shock.
I grabbed my own bags and called Dad.
"Hey, can you pick me up? I'm not feeling well." I said into the phone.
"Sure toot. I'm on my way." He laughed and I hung up. I grabbed my bags and sat outside in the cold snow.
I ran my hands through my hair and thought of Annie's words.
Where is she going?
Caleb's POV:
I stared at the small TV in my hospital bed. My mom came crashing inside.
"Guys, Caleb gets a surgery this weekend. Right now he's watching a movie. Must be pretty boring in here huh my potato?" She laughed.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"Here, you take the camera. I'll get you some water." She said, handing the bulky vlogging camera to me.
"Uh, hey guys. I guess I'm pretty nervous for the surgery tomorrow. It's kind of scary. But then, after break, I can finally play baseball and go to school. My last year until college, hah." I said awkwardly. I was talking to a camera, but at the same time, millions of people. I shut the screen off and mom came back in.
"Excited for school?" She asked, handing me a coffee and water. I was about to answer until her phone rang. She smiled and answered it.
"Hey Ans! What's up?" She asked into the phone.
"What do you mean?" She said, her face flushing a light color.
"Annie you can't just leave! What about-"
"Annie!"
She hung up the phone.
"What's wrong?" I asked worriedly.
"Annie is going on a road trip. Claims she needs to 'clear her mind'. She said, stuffing her phone into her bug purse.
"What are you gonna do about it?"
"I'm going to let her go. If she needs space, so be it. I was just worried about her. But she's not a little girl." Mom said proudly. I set my cups aside and thought of Annie leaving.
What happened to make her leave?

This book should end in a couple chapters, if you guys want. I'll be starting either another brannie book, a Caleb and Katie story or a Katie and Annie book. What do you guys think?
Hope you enjoyed💛
