Caleb's POV:
Thunder boomed outside and the door flew open, with Brennan and Annie running inside. Brennan laughed as he shut the door. I noticed Annie's outfit, which consisted of jeans and a sweatshirt that was way too big for her.
"Did you wear that on your date?" I asked.
Brennan looked startled and I remembered he didn't know I knew.
"1. I wasn't asleep yet 2. It's pretty obvious." I stated. A small wave of relief flew over Brennan and Annie shrieked again as lightning roared. She looked in to Brennan's eyes grabbing his hand and then left to go get changed.
"How was it?" I quizzed, looking down at my phone.
"It was amazing." Brennan beamed. He looked lost in his thoughts.
"Great." I smiled, proud of my best friend and sister. They are going to make an amazing couple.

Katie's POV:
Annie came rushing into my room, soaked in Brennan's sweatshirt.
I giggled as she jumped from the thunder and lightning.
"Spill." I laughed.
"We went ice skating! It was so cute. But I seen Liv, nothing happened thank god. I was pretty horrible at skating but I got the hang of it. And some fans asked for pictures and squealed 'is brannie a thing' and Brennan said 'if you want it to be' and it was an amazing night but when we were going to the truck I got soaked so he gave me a sweatshirt that was conveniently in the back seat and yeah." She rambled.
"Sounds like a great night." I finished.
"AND WE KISSED ON YOUR PORCH!" She said, wide eyed.
I was a little taken aback.
"Two kisses in one day." I chuckled. Annie nodded her head and continued to get changed into dry Pajamas. My best friend is in love with my brother.

Annie's POV:
-THAT NIGHT-
I tossed and turned as the lightning storm raged on. I hated storm like this.
I slipped out of Katie's bed and went to the kitchen in frustration. I tried to flick on the light, put the power was out. I sighed, clearly annoyed. I raided the candle cupboard and found a small scent less one to light it up a bit. The candle now burning, I searched the dark for the cupboard holding the glasses. I finally found one after a few minutes of searching, and continued towards the water dispenser. I filled the cup and sat at the table, sipping the glass of water. The storm continued on. I almost dropped my cup when I heard footsteps in front of me, and moved the candle in front of me.
"Couldn't sleep?" said Brennan.
"Thank god it's just you." I heaved.  He sat next to me.
"I hate storms too. Not quite as afraid as you, more annoyed." He said, looking into my eyes.
We sat in a short silence, listening to the rain hitting the windows.
"We were staying in a hotel when I wasabout 5, and there was a horrible storm that night. Me and Caleb were amazed, but it struck the hotel. The two floors overhead us were completely burned down, and we were evacuated in the middle of the night. My mom was crying, and I had no idea why until she explained many people lost their lives that night. I still wasn't scared, just a little shocked. The fear grew more as I grew up." I explained, staring into space. Brennan wrapped his arms around my shoulder.
"Well, you're 100% safe here."
I smiled.
"I feel safe in your arms." I mumbled, letting my head fall to his chest.
We stayed like that until I managed to stifle out a yawn.
"Let's take you to bed." He said, carrying me bridal style to Katie's room.
He plopped me in the bed and kissed my forehead.
"I love you." I managed to mumble, and he walked out of the room, smiling ear to ear.

Brennan's POV:
The thunder and lightning have slowed down, and it's getting quieter. I still can't sleep, so I decided to watch some TV. Instantly after I click the TV on, the news flashes on.
Almost all of Maryland was just struggling with the recent blizzards. But we have received news that because of the rain storms, this whole southern area *points to our area* is experiencing flash floods. Please keep these families in your prayers.
And a happy birthday...
I quickly checked outside to see if we had flooded. I was relieved to see there was only a thin layer of water running down the streets. I yawned, realizing I was now tired. I ran downstairs to my bedroom and found Caleb snuggled in a little ball on his mattress. I chuckled quietly and climbed into my bed. Covering myself in the warm sheets, I watched Caleb's stomach slowly rise and fall. This seemed to carry me off to sleep.

So this chapter is waaaaayyy shorter than usual, but I rushed since some of you were waiting. I'm currently working on the next chapter!
