Chapter lll

Taken.

-Amelia-

You can't take me.

Darkness.

That's what I saw. I was awake, but my eyelids seemed like they didn't want to open just yet. So I listened. I strained my ears to hear anything, but no sound came. I took in a breath, and forced my eyes to open. I was met with a scenery that surprised me.

It was night, the stars bright in the sky over the full moon. The forest floor was spread out before me, leaves littering the floor. A fire full of orange and red flames sparked a few feet infront of me, and I cringed at the sudden warmth.  A man dressed in a Silver cloak had his back to me, and two blood-red swords laid next to him on the ground.  I had a flash of memory, before I remembered who it was that sat in front of me.

Crimson Blades.

He had kidnapped me. I went to move, before I realized I was tied to a tree, my arms tightly at my sides. My breath quickened. I was terrified.

He however, heard my small attempt of movement. He turned to face me, his masked face studying mine. "Your awake." he stated.

I studied him, noticing he had taken off his almost invisible armor. A black horse was tied to a tree next to me, and was laying down resting. It had no white on it's coat, which was rare. I then noticed the feather-like hair on it's slender legs, and I gasped. "Oh my god, is that a real freison?"

The words escaped my lips before I could stop them, and I mentally cursed myself. My captor narrowed his eyes,  before glancing back at his horse.

"Yes he is" he replied lowly, and I flinched at the roughness in his voice. You see, a freison was a breed of horse that was extremely prized for it's beauty. They were proud horses, and therefore extremely hard to train. But these horses were extremely rare, and thought almost to be extinct.

I put my focus back on my captor, who had drew a thin dagger from his belt. My eyes went wide with fear, and I backed up against the tree even further.

"Relax" He told me, "I'm not going to hurt you okay?"

I just whimpered as he came closer. He placed his face next to mine, his warm breath hot on my shoulders.  "I'm going to untie you" he whispered,  "But if you run, or scream, I'll bind and gag you" I nodded in response.

He sliced the ropes binding me to the tree, and grabbed my wrists, bringing them in front of me. He bound them together tightly with rope, before taking a step back and gesturing me to follow him. I did what I was told, and sat next to him near the fire, the warmth warming my freezing body.

"You must be hungry, you were knocked out for two days."

"T-two days?" I stuttered looking at the ground. He just shrugged before offering me a large piece of bread in my tied hands.

I nibbled at the bread, not daring to look up. Instead, I listened to the forests sounds, but I didn't hear much. But the longer the silance went on, the more i heard. Birds, owls more specifically, where coeing in the distance. Crickets where chirping. I could even hear what I believed were rabbits thumping on the ground.

I returned my gaze back to the fire. He sighed, and sat across from me, stretching out on the ground. If he wasn't wearing his assassins robes, he would probably look like a normal teenage boy. The silence was unnerving, so I spoke up.

"What's your name?" It was a stupid question I know, and I knew he probably wouldn't answer it anyway.

He sat up, turning to face me. "Why would I tell you?" He asked and I could've sworn I could hear the smirk in his voice.

"Because," I explained, "I have to call you something right? I mean, unless you want to go by, 'Mr. CB'!"

He winced at the nickname.  "Okay I have been called many things, But that, by far, was the worst one ever." he faked mockery.

"Well then, You must tell me!" I said over dramatically.

He looked at the ground for a few seconds, as if thinking if it was a good idea. "Rayn." (A/N it's pronounced rain) he stated finally.

"Rayn" I said, letting the name roll of my tongue. "That is a unique name."

He rolled his eyes at me and returned to laying on his spot on the ground. I returned to eating my bread, which was not half bad. When I was done, I cleared my throat, trying to avoid the uncomfortable silence.

"Now what?" Rayn sighed, sitting up again.

"I just want to know more about you" I said, knowing very well that I was annoying him.

"You already know to much" he snapped back.

"No I don't!" I complained.  "Like, I don't know your favorite color, or your favorite food, or what's the best thing that ever happened to you-"

My rant was cut off as a leather gloved hand was pressed tightly over my mouth. "Will you shut up?" he hissed, and I cowered back in fear. But I quickly regained my bearings, and shook my head diffiantly. "Fine" he said quietly.  Before I knew it, I had a piece of cloth tied tightly around my mouth. I glared at him, and he gave me a smirk beneath his mask. cocky little son of a-   My thoughts were cut of by him speaking.

"Stop glaring at me. It's creeping me out"

I glared harder.

"Seriously?"

My face was like steel.

"I said stop."

"Ugh!" he groaned, once again showing me his teenager side. He strode over, and untied the cloth. "Just shut up" He said tiredly.

I was about to open my mouth yet again, When he grabbed me by the arm. I was about to let out a scream of protest,  but the glare he gave me under the mask made me think twice. He dragged me back to the tree, before throwing me against it, and securing my bounds. Once he was sure they were tight, he walked back to the fire, before putting it out and laying on a blanket he had spread out. Within a few minutes, his breathing deepened,  and I could tell he was asleep. I stared up at the stars, wondering how in the world I was going to get out of this.

Don't judge a thing till you know whats inside it,
Don't push me I'll fight it!

Never gonna give in,
Never gonna give it up no.

If you can't catch a wave then your never going to ride it.
You can't come uninvited.

Never gonna give in,
Never gonna give it up no.
