Rayn's Rescue

The blood dropped down his throat going down like fire. It burned all the way down, stronger the any whiskey or burbon. Energy and power surged through Rayn's body, and his body trembled as he felt his own wounds healing together as new.
He pushed Evian's hand away from his lips after he took enough, and he watched Evian's face become a mixture of horror and awe as his Rayn's eyes drew to a bloody crimson.

He was ready.

He had taken on his curse once more to save Amelia.

And he would.

Evian backed away as Rayn stood, his body no longer bleeding. Strength surged and his eyes glowed as the red aura bled from his orbs.

The voice sounded in the back of his mind, sweet like honey but the edge dripping with venom.

You are no friend Rayn replied back in his mind, anger so easily boiling up inside at the sound of the woman that ruined his life.

No? I remember when I was with you all the time, I am trapped here forever you know, it's not nice being blocked out for 4 years. But it was to be expected I suppose. The voice laughed softly, I wasn't exactly a blessing to you was I?

No. Rayn closed his eyes, you are my curse, and you will stay silent this entire time or you will be punished.

You wouldn't dare The voice hissed, recoiling back.

I will. He laughed cruely. So shhhhh.

Evain watch Rayn carefully, his eyes showed fear. But he watched Rayn motion him to follow him, and when he asked why, he received a note in his hand.

I can smell her blood.

They kept as quite as possible. They crept down to the stables, and anyone who happened to have the misfortune of coming across them, Rayn killed or knocked out.

Without touching them.

It was horrifying to Evain, the way Rayn could bend the blood to do his bidding. Blood rushing from noses, and would not stop, men clutching their heads and then passing out.

One stabed himself with his own sword.

But that was nothing like the heartbreak he felt when he opened those barn doors and peered inside with Rayn, and the despair that came from Rayn's cry of fury and sadness.

Amelia.

Why did they do that to Amelia.
