Center of the room, outside of attention
He sat unnoticed by all
the teacher called his name
"Here"
That was it
Assignments were due
he stared at the papers
a girl to his left, an older boy to his right
day after day, the papers piled up
no assignments were done
he still passed
No words he spoke
but others spoke to him
He heard every word
and kept it as a secret
The older boy gave up on talking to him
but the girl had a plan
"Do you know what this is?"
He looked at the paper and solved it in his mind instantly
"This is how you do it"
She watched him perform
The answer was clear and she finished the paper
but his continued to increase
Day after day, until it became a fortress
outside of the world
but at the center of everything
