Many terrors still haunt my dreams,
Yet not all is as it seems.
I consider the world dark,
And very dull.
But with you here,
I still feel whole.
I feel them shiver down my spine,
Yet you're still here,
Reminding me it's fine.
I can't tell you how I feel,
I still don't know how it's real.
I've known love before,
I feared the cycle would repeat forevermore.
I was loved,
Yet not for love.
I was a benefit,
And loyal.
A tool to ward off the dark,
To change the world.
Yet here you are.
I'm no tool to ward away fear.
I know one thing now,
Above all else.
That I love you,
And with that I must say:
Quite abruptly,
Adieu.
