I couldn't save her,
She's in tatters at my feet.
I couldn't protect her,
And now she's gone.
Ripped to shreds,
By a beast gone wild,
I have lost my everything.
Like a bird in winter,
She left this land.
Its cold without her,
The nights are rough,
I have nothing left.
I fear the time I have left,
Is little to none.
I can't live without her,
I can't let it happen again.
Without me it won't.
I don't have to fear loss,
If I don't have the fear to lose.
