I see it all,
The endless blue sea.
Each bubble rising from the bottom,
Their centers blue as the sea.
But is this true?
Can it be true?
I reach for one,
It pops,
I see little.
What I see isnt little though,
I see a girl,
She's afraid,
She knows what will happen.
I watch her fly,
I watch her swim,
I watch her sink,
I watch her drown,
I watch the black tar escape her lips.
I feel a pang in my heart,
Who was she?
Why?
Why did she have to drown?
Why couldn't I help her?
Why was I so incapable?
I felt my lungs burn,
I swam for another bubble.
It popped,
And I saw the soot,
That black tar.
How could I stop it,
If I didn't breath,
I would drown.
If I did,
I let that tar in.
I breath,
I feel myself grow heavier.
I keep swimming,
I find another bubble,
It pops.
I see her again.
I reach out for her,
I feel her,
But she slips away.
I see another bubble pop,
I see her again,
She's happier.
I smirk.
I reach yet again,
I reach once more.
I feel her weight,
I pull up.
I look down.
There she is,
I can't feel her anymore.
Its all up to me.
I keep swimming,
I see the surface and I let go,
I let go of the tar.
I swim harder,
I breach the surface.
I feel the sun.
I pull her up,
And I embrace her.
