I woke up, very cranky, I had a wedgie, so I pulled it out. I should've stuck to my self-scheduled curfew because my sleep apnea kicked in hard. Tossing and turning was forced as my only hope to get comfortable to lie in that position for hours.
My sleep apnea contained me profusely sweating, gasping for air, pauses in my breathing, and turning my deep sleep into light sleep. I couldn't contain my tears because this was the most serious one I've had; it scared me. And when I cry, it brings a wave of venerability, one of those weird ones that can only be cured by cuddling comfort.
I trudged down the stairs to the living area, and heard mumbles from Ms. Avalon's office. She had a fairly thick wooden door, so instead I left it be and went to the kitchen to snag myself a pack of chocolate chip Pop Tarts and a glass of Cran-Grape juice and sat. Alone.
I don't understand why, but Ms. Avalon loves it when I'm venerable. Maybe it's because I grasp onto her and smush my face into her chest, leaving little tears on it. She'd always kiss my forehead and rub my back.
"It's ok sweetheart," she'd always say."Your safe with me, Florence, baby."
Makes me feel better.
About 10 minutes after, Ms. Avalon comes out chortling with a tall, dense man with a deep voice.
"Florence! There you are!" Ms. Avalon said.
"Here I am." I made a half-smile.
"Red eyes, puffy cheeks..." She stated. "Sleep apnea?"
"Yeah."
"Oh! Florence, this is Paul; he's here about Niall adopting a kid here!"
"Hey." Paul said. I've never really have come to trust men, let alone be near one to adjust. He just intimidated me in so many levels of insecurities.
"H-Hi." I breathed out. He's so bulky, it makes me weary.
"Well we just conversed; Niall is coming later to help pack your bags, Florence." I nearly choked on my Cran-Grape juice.
"YOUVE GOTTA BE SHIT-"
"Florence." She said.
"KIDDING ME!! ME?! OUT OF EVERYONE?!? Well I was kind of expecting this..."
"I know; and I'm so proud of you! You finally did it."
"I-I-I guess I did.." I realized. "The feeling is great."
A few hours later, I was dressed in jeans, a white shirt, a pastel pink SnapBack, and floral combat boots.
--------
"Stoooop Ms. Avalon!" I blocked my face.
My bags were already packed; Ms. Avalon took pictures of me all the way back down the stairs..
"I'm sorry! Well, have a good time; call me whenever-"
"I'll call you everyday. Don't worry, I'll still care. I love you. Goodbye." We hugged for at least 3 good minutes. "Let's go Niall, before I start crying."
"Alright. Let's go."
"Wait I almost forgot!" I ran up the stairs back to my room to obtain my medical equipment. Niall literally gasped.
"Is that your makeup kit?" Niall said with a girly voice and pose.
"Haha really funny--NO. Diabetes; asthma; sleep apnea; my voila; for my braces..." Yea, I also have braces to support my crooked smile. "Don't worry, I can handle myself."
-on the drive there-
It was pretty awkward. Niall just kept staring at me like a creeper.
"Soo...you couldn't answer that question that I asked during Open House without getting interrupted by..'that'. What ARE your interest?"
"I like to play the guitar, eat, and just chill. You?" He said, relaxing in his seat.
"Nothing for you to worry about. Nothing interesting, actually. All you need to know is that I have more problems than interest. More problems than you."
"That could be a lie."
"Well, right now it's the truth." I said. We sat to the tune of the tires of the car drifting itself on the road. Of course he wasn't driving; he had his fancy chaffer driving the sleek black limo with tinted windows. "So why did you pick me?"
"Because I liked you."
"You know that if you adopt someone, you have to take care of that person..right?"
"I know. I know." He chuckled.
"And I'm a girl. So, you're gonna have to take care of my medical problems, PLUS my 'menstrual' problems, and my attitude. Tampons, pads, vagina blood. Ready?"
"Yep."
"You SURE??"
"Uh huh. I got it, I got it." He reassured. Ok, I can breathe now.

I can't do this. -2∞+↑
