-Madison's POV-
"Well well well, what do we have here?" A stern, menacing voice spoke from behind me.
Bad thoughts suddenly consumed my mind as every rumour I've ever heard of Devil flooded into memory. I've always been the naive, positive type; and that always ends up being something I'll regret later on. I didn't even dare to turn around, I couldn't bare to see the face to that cold tone. I probably couldn't even if I wanted to, from the amount of adrenaline coursing through my veins, forcing me to stay put. I'm just a normal 17 year old. I've never been in a situation like this before. I've never even been in a fight.
I watched Devil tense up infront of me, his jaw clenched. "What are you doing here Draydon?" Devil muttered. I need to know this boys name. I feel stupid calling him Devil, as if he's some villian from one of those Marvel comics. The scuff of shoes were heard closer and closer behind me. I clutched onto my bag harder, making sure Devil wouldn't have noticed. I didn't want to appear weak infront of him. I'm a big girl, I can sort my own problems out.
"I was just taking a stroll around the area," 'Draydon' paused, "Until I came across your new girl." I felt a tight hand grasp around my upper arm, causing me to stumble back a little out of shock. My head whipped back, and I caught first glance of Draydon himself. He was muscular from what I could tell, black hair, and really dark brown eyes. He definitely didn't have a positive vibe about him. Being in Draydons hold made me terrified.. I've never felt so vunerable before. I was in an alleyway, who would be around if I called for help?
Danger flashed in Devil's eyes as he pushed Draydon by his left shoulder, causing him to stumble back. Devil shoved him up against the brick wall on the side of the alleyway as I watched in shock and disbelief. Everything I had heard about Devil was true. Cassidy was right. He held Draydon, with his shirt in his balled up fists. "She's not my girl, Draydon" He sneered. "You sure?" He retorted, "I wouldn't be surprised. You've had more than a few."
Devils POV
"Get out of here" I directed to the girl I knew as Madison.
At first glance, she didn't look phased at all by this whole situation. But from watching how she is in class, I knew she was just hiding how terrified she really was. She was innocent, and something about that attracted me to her, as much as I try to deny it to myself. She doesn't know me. She doesn't know what I do, and I'm gonna keep it that way.
It took her a minute to process what I said, before scurrying out of the alleyway with her broken bag held against her chest, leaving me hoping she wouldn't call for help.
I turned my attention back to Draydon once I saw Madison completely disappear from view.
"That was low Dallas" I growled.
"She'll be low when she's sucking my dick later." He chuckled.
"You sick bastard" I grunted, clearly unamused by his 'joke'.
He wrestled out of my grip and threw a strong punch right into my jaw. Draydon recieved multiple hits as both of us tried to push eachother down to the floor. I noticed blood on my knuckles from his nose, and after one more punch, he fell to the ground of exhaustion.
"You were brave coming here without your gang, Draydon." I taunted.
My hands wrapped around his neck, tightening each second. It wasn't long before he was trying desperately to pry them away, gasping for air.
"My criminal life is one thing, and my personal life another. It's sucks to have you in even one of them, but you definitely won't have anything to do with my personal life if you want to keep breathing. Got it?" I spat.
He nodded quickly. I let go of his neck before I could do to much damage; if I was to kill him, I would be sure it would be slow and painful. But, mainly because I knew they'd be students walking home now, and the last thing I need is to deal with hiding another dead body.
I slammed my car door shut after getting inside. The fight defintely calmed me down, yet I still felt pissed that somebody would intrude on me like that. What if other kids from school happened to walk past and see that? I'd be screwed.
I turned the keys into the ignition as the image of Draydon lying on the floor unconscious made me smirk to myself.
I drove down the same lanes I do every day on my way home; watching as my school building became just a blur in my rearview mirror.
I pulled down the glove department as I drove and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. I twiddled one between my fingers as I stopped at the red light. I pulled the lighter out of my pocket and flicked it, burning the cigarette, before sliding it back into my leather jacket. I managed to roll the window down just as the light turned green.
I rested one hand on the wheel as I took heavy drags of the smoke, feeling it enter my body. It felt so good. I rested one hand on the steering wheel and sped down the road, wanting nothing more than to get home after a boring ass day at school, as usual. Finally, my house came into sight. I pulled up into the drive and slid the keys into my pocket, and exiting the car. I dropped the dead cig onto the floor and stomped on it with my foot.
After turning my keys in the house door, I walked in to be greeted by my boys.
What's up man?" Leo stated as we did the handshake all guys do.
"The usual" I shrugged. Finn chucked me over a can of beer as I lounged back on the sofa. I popped the beer can open and took a sip.
"You'll never guess who I ran into earlier." I adressed my gang with a smirk.
"Oh yeah, who's that?" Leo questioned.
"Dallas Draydon." I sneered. I watched as their faces turned more serious, especially Slade's.
"I sorted him out, he shouldn't be bothering us for a while if he knows what's good for him." I shrugged.
Slade knitted his eyebrows together. "The fuck you mean by that, Mahone?"
"I was on my way home, he got in my face, I beat him up and made him beg for forgiveness- what more would you expect from Draydon? It's the same old bullshit." I sniggered.
"Didn't anyone see?" Slade questioned. "Nah, just this girl I was with." I responded. "So.." Slade pressed. "Did you kill her?"
"There wasn't a need to. I told her to leave before she would see anything. Give me more credit, I'm not that fucking dumb." I assured him and the others who were listening intently. The guys chuckled lightly. I watched as Slade ran a hand up and down his face frustratedly. I smirked, "You should be thanking me, really. That's just one less body you have to think about getting rid of."
"Whatever Mahone, as long as you can get yourself out of this fucking mess like you got yourself into it." He retorted.
