Madison's POV

After today's events with Devil, I was left wondering what the heck happened, and what I'd see of him again.

After sitting and eating dinner with my family, I decided to change into something more comfortable. I slipped on my pajamas Cassidy had bought me for my past birthday from VS. I've never worn anything so comfortable before. I would live in them if I could.

I looked over to see my phone illuminating half of the dark room. As I walked over, expecting to see a text or call from Cassidy, I switched on a lamp and sat on the edge of my bed.

'Open ur window' The text said, from an Unknown Number.

I frowned at the message. 'Who is this.' I sent back, to have another reply almost instantly.

'Trust me babe.'

I rolled my eyes at whoever this jerk thought he was. Calling me babe within the first 10 seconds of even speaking to me? I knew I shouldn't, but there was something inside, like a gut instinct; something telling me that I should. I warily walked over and unlocked the window and opened it. I locked my door just incase my parents would decide to pay an untimely visit. The next thing I know, I see Devil standing in my room. I gasped in slight shock.

"What?! Devil you can't be here!" I said in a hushed voice, walking over to him.

"Nobody has to know" He smirked.

"Seriously Devil- or whatever the hell your name is!-"

"Austin" He informed. "And you are?"

I sighed, "Madison, but I bet you knew that already, considering you know where I live!" I exclaimed in a hushed voice.

"Well, what can I say" He chuckled, popping his imaginary collar.

"You're incredible." I said, angrily.

"So I've been told, babe." He winked.

"Ugh!"

I watched him look around my room, studying my photo's I had in their frames.

"What the hell happened today?" I pleaded to get answers.

"Nothing" He spoke bluntly as he stuffed his hands into his pockets.

"You're so annoying"

"I saved your sorry ass," He snapped.

"Wow, thank you, my hero! I'm sure I could have handled myself." I retorted, crossing my arms across my chest.

He walked over to me angrily, pushing me up against my wall, close up to my face. "He has no mercy. He would have tortured you. Touched you. Raped you. Made you have a slow, painful death. He'd of made you suffer if I weren't there." He spoke through gritted teeth.

"Whatever Austin, don't just come into my house and get all up in my face." I said angrily, pushing his chest back. He shook his head in disbelief and sneered at me, before jumping out of my window. I made sure to lock it again, before closing the curtains. I groaned and jumped into bed.

Why is he doing this to me.

Madison's POV

As I made it in through the school gates, I took the usual route I did every morning to meet up with Cassidy before we both went to our home room. I turned to an abrupt stop when Austin stood infront of me as I turned a corner.

"You fixed your bag then" He smirked.

"Yeah... I did." I sighed, not really wanting to talk to him right now. When he didn't make an effort to move out of my way, I looked him in the eyes. "Look, Austin. Cassidy would kill me if she knew I've been speaking to you." I expressed.

"Damn, that chick really hates me" He shook his head as he scoffed a little.

"That chick is my bestfriend!" I exclaimed.

"Whatever." He grumbled. "Just come out with me for lunch?"

I crossed my arms against my chest and stood upright. "Why should I?" I sighed.

"Just meet me here at 1" He commanded, and walked off before I could even reply.

"Hey cass!" I called as I finally made it to my locker to see her there, playing on her phone.

"Whatsup hot stuff?" She giggled, pulling me into a tight hug. "What's wrong?" She asked once she pulled away from me, studying my face. "You look stressed."

"My parents got on my nerves before I left this morning, It's nothing." I lied, throwing her a fake smile.

"Okay?" She said slowly. I nodded and pulled her into our class.

She can read me like a book.

"Austin, where are you taking me?" I sighed. I looked out of the windows of his matt black range rover and noticed everything zoom past. "Incase you didn't know this, I'd rather not be going anywhere with you, so if you could just-"

"Be quiet will ya?" He snapped.

What was his problem? He treats me like this was all my idea. Heck no; if it was up to me, I'd still be in school right now. "Why are you bothering with me so much? There's easier girls in this damn school that will let you into their pants."

I heard him scoff as he checked the side mirror. He flicked the indicator and switched lanes, watching ahead of him. "You really know nothing about me, huh"

I raised my eyebrows at him and crossed my leg over the other. "I know enough to not want anything to do with you."

"So you've heard about me then" He smirked, shuffling in his seat.

"Unfortunately." I spoke monotonously. "But wether or not I believe them is another thing."

He shot me a weird look momentarily, before returning his gaze back to the road. "You're one confusing chick, you know that?" He snarled.

"Whatever" I muttered. I bounced my bottom leg anxiously as I waited to see where he was planning to take me, and why it couldn't be after school hours. I shifted my elbow to rest on the window ledge, and bit my nails impatiently. "Take it down a notch, babe. I aint gonna kill you."

"Oh geez, thanks." I spoke sarcastically, "You're so fun to be around."

I noticed his grip tighten around the steering wheel, his grip so strong; his knuckles were turning white. The air grew thick with the most awkward tension I've ever experienced. I just mentally begged him to break the silence.

"Do you think I care?" He spat, clearly annoyed by my choice of words. I let out a big huff of breath- which I didn't even realise I was holding in. I came to the conclusion that it was better for me to not say anything. Instead I just bit my tongue for once and shut up.

"Are you gonna answer me or just sit there like a complete idiot?" He shot, his words drenched in pure bitterness.

"What the fuck do you want me to say?!" I shrieked, completely baffled by his sudden change in emotions.

"I don't know!" He shouted, "Anything! Don't just sit there." I was really getting annoyed with this kid.

God help me.
