-Austin's POV-

"Austin..." Slade began with a sorry look. I furrowed my eyebrows at him, crossing my arms. "What the hell are you acting all sorry about?" He let out a sigh, "Look... the paper. I think they took it when they searched the place." I shook my head in disbelief, "You playin' with me right now?"

I expected him to let out a big smile and tell me he was kidding, but he didn't. He continued looking sympathetic and guilty. I clenched my jaw, "What the hell do you mean they have the paper?!" I said loudly. "Look Austin I don't know what you're expecting me to say. Maybe if you stayed focus more things like this wouldn't fucking happen!" He yelled louder than my voice. "What you insinuating, Slade?" I sneered, squinting my eyes at him. "Well things like this didn't happen years ago did it? And what's changed? Your girl. So don't blame this on any of us." He spat.

I could almost feel the boiling anger coursing through my veins as I lunged towards him and pushed him up against the wall by the collar of his shirt, a few glasses smashing as he tried to reach around him to stop himself from stumbling. "Don't ever talk about her again, you hear me?" I growled lowly. "Get the hell off me Mahone, before you make me do something I'm really gonna regret." I let out a loud laugh, "Fucking do it you little pussy." I teased. It was as if he was provoking me to do it, because the minute I said that, he shoved me off before punching a hard fist to my face. Instinctively, my right hand flew to his jaw, making him stumble to his side as his head turned.

"What the hell's going on?!" A high pitched voice screeched. I whipped my head in the direction of the voice and saw Grace standing in the doorway with a worried look on her face. And worried would be an understatement. She ran over to Slade and held him back, standing in the middle of us. I laughed menacingly at Slade as if I was mocking him for being protected by a girl. He tried to get her away but of course he wasn't about to lay hands on her. "Madison!" Grace yelled loudly, her voice echoeing throughout the house. "Grace just leave it" I spat, feeling the urge to hit him one more time. I heard feet patter down the stairs quickly as someone barged through the door, of course it was Madison. "Whats go- Austin? What the hell?!" She said loudly, standing in front of me to help stop the fight. "Oh my god can you both just leave us the fuck alone!" I groaned. "Austin stop! Please just stop." She sighed, bravely laying a hand on my chest. I tensed, looking down at her small palm laid against me. "Please." She stated one more time. "Whatever" I groaned, storming out of the room.

I hate that. I hate how she can calm me down over anything. I hate how she has some sort of hold over me. I hate it.

-Madison's POV-

I followed Austin up to our room in an attempt to calm him down. "What's going on?" I asked, "And please, just cut to the chase and tell me." I watched him closely as he sat down on the edge of the bed with his head in his hands. My heart kind of sank at the sight of him there, looking all stressed.

He let out a big huff of air as he ran a hand through his hair and looked at me. "What did you need to tell me earlier?" He asked, his voice softer than I expected. I let out a short laugh of disbelief and walked over to stand in front of him. I took a hold of both of his hands and played with them in mine. "It doesn't matter now. This is more important." He furrowed his eyebrows, looking at our hands as I moved them about, probably annoying him but I didn't care. "No. Nothing's more important than you. What was it?" I smiled lightly. "I have something of yours." He shrugged, "And?" Letting go of his hand I picked up his leather jacket and passed it to him, telling him to check the pocket. He pulled out the paper and let out a sigh of- relief? "See? I told you it wasn't important." "Wasn't important? Mads we thought the police had this. Fucking hell, I was gonna be sent to jail" He said, but before I could react, he stood up and wrapped his arms around me tightly in a bone crushing hug. "Austin" I giggled. He kissed my neck lightly multiple times, eventually loosening his grip.
