-Madison's POV-

"Austin?" I asked, finding him leaning against the island in the kitchen, scrolling through something on his laptop. He hummed in reply, not drawing his attention away from the screen. "What do you think about Grace and I going out later?" I asked, ruffling my hair and taking a seat opposite him. He shut down the laptop and sighed, looking up at me. "Madison I just want you to be safe" "I know you do" "We can't really do things normal people can do" "Then come with me. I don't care where we go I just wanna get out of the house."

I watched Austin push his hair back as he stood up straight. "There's actually something I've wanted you to do the moment I met you." I couldn't fight the smile that was pulling up on my lips. "Yeah?" I asked. He nodded, looking up at me. "I want you to meet my mother."

What? Is he serious? I didn't even know he had a mother... I never wanted to pry about that side of his life.

"Mads?" He asked, snapping me out of my trance. "Really? You want me to meet your mom?" He nodded, "Yeah of course." He shrugged nonchalantly. "Okay," I nodded, "When?"

I couldn't hide how excited I was. I know it's silly but we've never really been a normal couple and even though I've accepted Austin truly for who he is and what he does, there's always gonna be a part of me that craves the normality within the relationship. And this was it.

I wanted to see the baby pictures and I wonder what his mother will look like. Beautiful, I bet, because his parents must be good looking- have you seen Austin?

I just hoped she'd be nicer and more accepting than my mother.

But what if she's not? What if she hates me... She can't hate me, right?

"You wanna go tonight? For dinner" He asked. I scrunched my eyebrows together slightly "Does your mom know? Does she even know who I am?" I asked. He nodded, "Of course she knows you are." I giggled standing up and wrapping my arms around his torso, "Someone's been talking about me." I smirked, pinching his cheek playfully. "No," he mumbled, moving my hand from his face and intertwining it with his. "Liar" I giggled. His cheeks flushed a hot pink colour, physically showing his embarrassment. I don't think he's ever blushed in front of me before. "You're so cute" I laughed. He leaned down with a slight smile, shutting me up with kisses.

"You look beautiful, babe." Austin noted as we drove through the dark roads. "Thank you," I said, "You don't look half bad yourself." He breathed out a slight laugh with a smirk tugging at his lips. I followed his eyes that were looking at my knees which I was continuously bobbing up and down as I sat in the car seat. "You're nervous?" He asked, taking one hand from the steering wheel and resting it on my thigh. I nodded, "Austin what if she doesn't like me." I whined. "She's gonna love you, trust me." He paused, "You're actually just like her. You'll be fine I promise." He soothed. That helped a little. I felt reassured from his words.

"Remember when I took you out to eat, before we knew each other and you were all anxious 'cause you were in a car with a stranger and I told you to knock it down a notch," Austin laughed, reminiscing. I blushed, "I was nervous." "You haven't changed, you know. You're the same Madison I fell in love with." He spoke as if it we were just discussing something as simple as the weather. "I should hope so," I shrugged, looking at him with nothing but admiration. "That's how I know my mom's gonna love you, okay?"

He was so perfect. He knew how to make me feel better and all the right words to say. "Okay" I mumbled in defeat.

"She lives here? This house is so pretty." I whispered as I got out of the car, Austin's hand hooking my waist, like always. He shut the car door and locked it as we began to walk to the front door. "Yeah... I make sure she's well looked after." He said, pressing the doorbell. I pondered his words for a minute before looking at him with a confused expression. "What do you mean-" I was cut off by the door opening.
