Chapter 26

-Madison's POV-

The cold air covered the exposed parts of my body like a blanket. It was dark by now but something about the peacefulness felt like home somehow. I crossed my arms over my chest as I took a deep breath. As I looked off into the distance, I felt something grab a hold of my upper arm. Instantly flinching, I pulled away as my heart rate picked up, gasping. "Babe?" The minute I heard the familiar voice I started to calm down again, resting a hand over my heart as if I was reassuring it. "What the hell Austin you scared the shit out of me!" I whined. His laughter filled my ears. "All I did was touch you," He paused, smirking as he pulled me into him, "I didn't know I had that effect on you, babe." I rolled my eyes. "Quit doing that" He sighed, referring to my eye roll. "Mmm no" I hid my smile, getting a kick out of it all.

I pulled away from him and walked inside through the back door, being greeted by warmth. Not from the central heating though, but from Austin's big arms wrapping around my waist from behind, stopping me in my tracks. "Austin," I breathed a giggle, placing my hands over his as he placed light kisses on my neck. As strong as he was, I was eventually able to wiggle out of his hold and turn around to face him. "What is going on with you tonight?" I said with a smile. He shrugged walking close to me again. "What are you talking about?" I twisted my lips to the side in thought, looking down. He tilted my chin up with his index finger and thumb. "Hm?" I pressed my lips to his and he smiled into the kiss, pushing me back so I was pressed up against the wall.

"Couldn't you go do what ever you're doing somewhere else?" Finn asked, walking into the kitchen. I pulled away from Austin and looked over his shoulder to look at who it was. Austin sighed and moved away from me. "You don't own this fucking house" He muttered under his breath. "What the fuck? Just because you pissed your girl off" Austins eyes squinted slightly. "Shut the hell up about it" As I looked at Finn, he didn't seem his usual self. "Then know your place before you go ordering me about as if you fucking own me" Austin shrugged.

"You guys argue over the stupidest of things" I pointed out. "You're going out tonight, the least you could to is be civil with each other." I said as if it was the easiest thing in the world.

"You got everything?" I sighed. "Yeah babe. I won't be long, okay? Just stay in the house and call me if anything happens." I nodded, "You know I will. Go and get it over with." I pecked his lips sweetly.

"I love you"
