Madison's POV
I slid out of Austins car and he was already by my side. I noticed there were a few stares, but people always stared at us. It was uncomfortable but I tried to ignore it like I always did.
"Madison!" Somebody called out. I turned around and felt someone immediately hug me. I furrowed my eyebrows upon realising who it was and tore them away from me. Cassidy looked at me with a confused expression.
"Mads?" She questioned. I shook my head in disbelief.
"I can't believe that you'd do that to me," I said quietly.
Austin stood behind me with his hands squeezing my waist gently with reassurance.
"Madison I-"
"No, Cassidy. How could you do that to me? I thought you were my best friend." I choked back the tears, urging myself to appear strong.
"I am your best friend! I did it to protect you!" She said with desperation.
I threw my hands up, getting frustrated. "Protect me from what?!"
"From, this- this-this monster!" Cassidy stuttered from the anger coursing through her veins. I looked down to the floor, and I knew Cassidy was staring at me.
The words stung with pain at the thought of the last time I saw my father.I knew that Austin was just letting me get out what I needed to say, and he thought absolutely fuck all about what anybody said about him.
"You know," I spoke up in a hurt mumble, "Austin's the only one who's ever been here for me. He's the only one who's ever loved me for me. He's saved my life. Why would you take away the most important thing to me?"
Just as she was about to respond, I shook my head. Hearing Cassidy's excuses was the least of my problems right now and I honestly didn't want to hear it right now.
I walked off, with Austin beside me. I didn't know where I was going, but I'd rather be anywhere else right now. Austin intertwined our hands together, giving them a light squeeze.
"Madison" Cassidy said, following behind us.
"Look, Cassidy." Austin turned around to her, "She doesn't want to talk to you. Now I suggest you walk the other way before you make me do something I'll really regret." He spat in a low hushed voice.
I could tell by Cassidy's wide eyes that she was intimidated by Austin and what he'd do. She looked to me once more, to see if I'd say anything, before sighing and turning away with nothing but hurt evident on her expressions.
"I'm sick of this Austin, all of it." I whispered exhaustedly as a tear escaped from my eye. He brought his hand up to my cheek and wiped away the tear with his thumb. He rested his forehead against mine.
"Then leave with me. Leave and don't ever come back."
"We can't do that" I strained, wishing it really could be that simple.
"You can't do half the shit I've done babe, but that's never stopped me" He smirked. "Leave with me" he repeated again.
I looked down and contemplated it. I couldn't be sure what he meant by this, but I trusted him. I nodded and looked up to his eyes.
I admired myself in the mirror. I was wearing a tight black dress, with red lipstick and heels. I kept my eye makeup simple, with my long, thick hair straightened down to my lower back. Even though my dress was tight, it was still classy and didn't show off too much. I wasn't the kind of girl to dress like that anyway.
Flashback
Austin sighed, ending the call he had held and slammed his phone down on the side.
"Caleb wants to meet us all." I knew he was angered by this. It was all in the way he acted; how his eyes darkened, his jaw set in place and his chest broadened.
"So," Finn paused questionably, "We'll meet him then"
"He wants us to have a fucking sit down meal at the Bashall Eaves"
"Don't wind me up Mahone" Slade stated with irritation.
"Yeah, I've been joking this whole time but it looks like you've fucking caught me out, well shit" Austin seethed sarcastically.
"Don't fucking start with the attitude" Leo rolled his eyes as he stood against the wall.
"Oh look who decided to pipe up, huh?" Austin said, coming closer to him, "You know what Leo, you've really been pushing my fucking buttons this week and I'm about this close to blowing your head off. Now I suggest you shut that mouth of yours before it really gets you into trouble."
"This week? How would you know when you've just been off with your bitch" He chuckled. Almost as if it was an instinct, Austins fist collided with Leo's jaw.
I ran over to Austin and got infront of him as Leo held his jaw in pain, trying to recover. I pushed him back with my hands on his chest, looking up at him.
"Move the fuck out of my way Madison." Austin spat, forcefully pushing against me.
"Austin, stop. Don't do this"
"Madison I swear to god I'll-"
"You'll what Austin?" I challenged.
His darkened eyes dropped down from Leo and into mine, "Stop acting like a little bitch."
"ENOUGH," Slade bellowed out throughout the house. "The table is booked for 30 minutes time now I suggest you all quit acting like fucking pussies and get ready" He demanded.
Without knowing any answers, or who Caleb even is, I stormed off upstairs.
"What are you wearing" Austin questioned bluntly.
I couldn't believe he went from be a complete jerk to thinking he could get away with it and talk to me again. I felt his eyes look me up and down as I ignored him. I messed around with my hair in an attempt to look busy and unawkward.
"I said" He growled, taking a tight harsh grip of my wrist and pushing me against a wall, "What. Are. You. Wearing."
He was dangerously close and I found myself feeling scared.
This wasn't Austin.
I don't know who the monster inside of him was, but I didn't like it.
"A dress" I mumbled barely audible.
"What?" He spat, grabbing my chin and forcing me to look up at him.
"A dress" I said quietly.
"Don't you know you're mine?" Austin said lowly, letting go of my chin and looking into my eyes with his dark, dangerous ones.
"Why are you trying to show off to other guys," His hand trailed behind me to my ass, and rested there, "What's mine," His hands moved up to my waist fluently and momentarily over my chest, "All mine" He growled, pulling my hips harshly into his. He buried his face in my neck and started sucking in various spots, "Every curve" He said, "Every part of you is mine."
"Austin" I moaned, when he found my sweet spot. I raked my hands through his hair, pulling on the ends.
"Nobody will ever touch you the way I do," He said in a manner as if he was reassuring himself more than anything.
He went in for my lips, but I pushed him back gently by his chest, moving my head to the side. His eyebrows furrowed together.
"You know, usually I can admit that I did something to wind you up, but today I can stand here and tell you that I did nothing wrong for you to treat me like that." I spat, prying Austins hands from my hips and refusing to give in to him so easily.
"I'm sorry babe, I got angry, I didn't know what I was saying you know what I'm like"
"It's one thing to do that alone, but when it's infront of the guys it was just embarrassing Austin!"
"Alright babe" Austin sighed, "I love you"
I immediately snapped my head up to him at the mention of these words. His eyes caught mine. The way the words just rolled off his tongue, but still left me butterflies after hearing it already.
"I love you too" I said, giving in.
The boys whistled as I met them all at the front door.
"You're in for it tonight bro," Slade nudged Austins side.
"Shut up" Austin hissed. He shot Slade a glare which was met by a cheeky grin.
"You look beautiful babe," Austin mumbled.
"Thank you" I blushed, intertwining our hands together.
"Well you guys certainly scrub up well," I giggled, taking a glance at all of them, including Austin, who were standing in dress shirts and clearly their best jeans. Austin had his snapback on, which was placed backwards over his hair which I messed up earlier.
They laughed back with me.
"Well Austin better keep guard, because guys'll be drooling over you" Finn smiled, meaning to compliment me.
"They can drool all they want," Austin shrugged in a careless manner, but I could sense the tone in his voice. The protective edge to him that would kill anybody who tried to touch me. "But they can't have her."
I was in the middle of Austin and Leo as Finn drove the SUV to some place in town called Bashal Eaves. It was some sort of fancy restaurant, I always drove past it with my parents on the way back from my grand parents house.
I sat in silence, with the loud cheers and laughs of the guys, talking about a load of things I didn't understand. I didn't mind though, cause it made Austin laugh for the first time in what seemed like forever.
I looked over to Austin who was looking straight ahead to the road as he chuckled. I took in his features, his plump lips, his nose which I oddly adored. His strong jawline and his long eyelashes I envied. He looked over to me, obviously catching me staring.
"What," He chuckled.
I shrugged, "Nothing," Not being able to fight the smile that appeared on my face.
He wrapped an arm around my shoulder and I snuggled up closer to him. It was around 9pm, and I was extremely tired, but I knew this was important to Austin and his boys so I tried to fight the urge to sleep.
'Aw, now would you look at that" Slade chuckled as he took a look in the review mirror as he stopped at a red light.
"Who would've thought Austin would have ever gone soft" He said obviously teasing him.
"Seriously bro?"Austin sighed. I giggled, finding the whole thing halarious.
When we pulled up, Austins whole demeanor changed. I could tell he didn't want to be here and I knew they all felt uneasy about this situation.
I got out of the SUV after Austin, whose hands wrapped around me as soon as we stood to the side. I stood there quietly- I knew this was somehow related to Austins business, and I didn't want to be the one to say or do something that starts a disagreement.
I noticed a red car pull up, and Finn walked over to it. He opened the door and a girl around my age, probably a bit older, walked out. She did look pretty in what she was wearing, which was a similar kind of look to the one I had gone for tonight, which made me feel more confident.
"Hi" The girl greeted politely as she walked over to me. She had a pretty smile on her face and she seemed to be a happy person.
"Hey" I replied with as much bubbliness as she had. I looked down to her waist to see Finn with his hand there, and I automatically got who she was.
"This is Grace, my girlfriend" Finn introduced with a light smirk,
"Madison... girlfriend of Austin" I said glancing up at him before returning to Grace.
"It's nice to finally meet you, I've heard a lot about you" She smiled.
"Likewise."
After we had finished our introductions, I followed Austin and the boys inside the restaurant.
"I'm glad you all turned up," An older man, who appeared to be in his late 40s, spoke up. I couldn't help but notice his eyes look up and down my body and it made me feel disgusting.
"We told you we would be here, and we are." Austin said snappily.
It honestly surprised me that he didn't mention the fact that he just checked me out, when usually, he would've threatened them by now. Austin moved his hand from around my waist and intertwined it with one of mine and held it firmly.
"And what is your name beautiful?" The old man gestured towards me.
"Uh- It's uh-" I stuttered, suddenly feeling nervous, "Madison"
"Oh you're Mahone's girl," He said slowly as he leaned back against his chair with his arms across his chest. I nodded in response, noticing the intimidating glances Austin and the man were sharing.
"And your name is?"
"What does it matter to you?"
"It doesn't," I shrugged, "Can't a girl be curious?"
"The name's Caleb." He said to me, but then looked over to Austin, "Persistent one you've got here, eh" He chuckled.
"Tell me about it," Austin breathed out, and squeezed my hand to let me know that he was only messing. I shook my head playfully at him, but if that's what it took to calm him down, then so be it.
"So, I've got an offer," Caleb started as we all finished our meals. "If you can deal with The Ravens for me, I'll give you a shipment in return."
The guys all sent glances to eachother, as if they could communicate through doing so.
"What kind of shipment are we talking about here?"
"$500,000,000" I nearly spat out my drink at the amount mentioned, but I managed to not make a fool of myself. Where the hell does somebody get that kind of money to just give away?
"Why so much? I mean, not that it bothers us" Leo chuckled.
"I don't just want them dealt with." He glanced side to side, as if in a movie, to check for any earwiggers or dangers,
"I want them dead."
Dead? I tensed up at the word and Austin seemed to notice as much. I know Austin usually does this, and it's nothing new but I'm not used to it. Austin's always pushed me aside from this part of his life and he's never let me in.
"But there's just one more thing- I need you to move to their location."
"We'll do it." Austin confirmed.
"Great" Caleb let out a big breath of air of relief. "Now I'd love to stay and chat fellas, but I need to get back. I'm sure you won't mind giving me a lift?"
"Not at all." Slade replied.
After a long night, we finally pulled up home.
"Go on up to bed babe," Austin said as we stood in an embrace.
"Aren't you going to come?" I furrowed my eyebrows and looked up at his moonlit face.
"We've got a few things to sort out first. I'll be a while, don't wait up." I nodded and took the keys from his hand. I turned to open the door when Austin spun me around.
"Not so soon," He whispered quickly and put his lips over mine in a passionate kiss. I bit his lip as we pulled apart, earning a small groan from him.
"Go to bed," He smacked my ass lightly and I giggled, leaving the key in the door as I went up to bed.
Austin's POV
" Thanks again boys," Caleb nodded, as he stood up. I put my blunt out and I stood up to do the bro-hug with him.
"You know we'll get the job done." Finn confirmed. "In other words, we can't wait to fuck shit up," I corrected and everyone bellowed in laughter and agreement.
"You got that right" Slade commented.
Caleb left to go back home and I checked the time: 4am.
'Aight I'm beat," I said.
"Yeah same," Finn commented and we both went upstairs to our rooms.
Just as I got to the last step, I slightly tripped over my own two feet, which made Finn and I laugh as loud as fuck. I calmed down and opened the door to our bedroom, surprised to see that Mads had shut it. I lazily threw my shirt to the floor along with my pants and shoes.
"Austin?" Madison mumbled as she turned around in bed.
"Yeah babe," I flopped down next to her on the bed.
"Have you been smoking?" She furrowed her eyes together.
"No" I breathed out.
Of course I've been fucking smoking. But she don't need to be all up in my shit, especially when it's got nothing to do with her. She shuffled up and flicked the lamp on beside her side of the bed.
"Look at me." She said angrily. I looked up at her, with no effort to argue and she shook her head. "Why did you lie to me? Your pupils are huge."
"What the fuck does it matter?"
"You reek like weed that's what's the fucking matter Austin!"
"Well piss off then" I spat.
She huffed an angry breath out and picked up her cushion and I guess, went to sleep on the couch. Tired of the drama, and just tired in general, I decided to let her calm down before I spoke to her, and so I drifted off into sleep, deciding to leave it until the morning.
