-Madison's POV-

I thought he'd love me through anything. I know I don't look my best right now, and that I have bruises covering almost a third of my body but I still had high hopes that he liked me enough to care for me.

Don't be stupid Madison, of course he loves you.

Maybe he does love me, but maybe he doesn't love me right in this moment. Maybe I'm too difficult for him, maybe he's finally realised that I'm not special; there's tons of girls out there he could have easily without half the hassle that I cause for him. I knew he'd realise it sooner or later, so I don't know why I'm so surprised by his sudden outburst.

Everything was fine a few days ago, before the whole incident with Tyler. Is that why he's mad? Is it because I'm not good enough for him anymore when I look like I've been slung around like a rag doll. That's exactly why, it's exactly why he didn't even want to touch me. He couldn't even look me in the eyes.

A loud smash was heard downstairs which made my body jolt in shock. Cautiously, I walked over to the bedroom door and slowly opened it strategically so that it wouldn't creak and draw attention to me. I quietly walked over to the banister at the top of the stairs and sat down, watching Austin and Leo. They didn't know I was watching them.

Austin's hands clenched and unclenched quickly and his chest was broadened. I've seen him when he gets mad. I've seen every side to Austin. But this wasn't him, this was like some monster had taken over his mind and soul. Leo looked up from the shattered glass and over to Austin.

"What the hell is going on with you?" Leo barked, catching me by surprise. I expected him to attempt to calm him down or something, not rile him up even more.

"What isn't going on with me right now, Leo?" He scoffed, "I thought you knew me well enough."

Leo's expression changed as his eyebrows scrunched together. "What are you talking about-"

"I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about. You've all been through this before, haven't you?" I watched as he slowly began to take steps around the kitchen. He gave a moment of silence for Leo to step in, but smartly, he didn't. "You all knew exactly what was going to happen to me, you've all been there before. You didn't try to stop this. None of you did."

I furrowed my eyebrows together, in complete confusion as to where this was all heading. Or, even where it was all coming from.

"Don't even ask me what the hell is wrong with me, Leo. You let all of this happen."

"What did I let happen, Austin?" Leo asked, staying calm in order to get more information out of him. He knew what Austin's like; he never says what's on his mind.

"Her. You didn't stop her."

"Who?"

"Madison."

My heart sped up at the sound of my name leaving his lips. It didn't sound like it used to when he said it. It didn't even sound like it used to when he was mad. There was something completely different. I know this isn't him.

"She's nothing but trouble. I've been worrying about her all this time and I've let work slip from my mind. She was supposed to be just a bit of fun, someone I could just mess around with-" He chuckled dryly.

It felt like everything froze for a minute when I heard him say that. My heart plummeted to what felt like a hundred feet.

"I'm what?" I spoke up, standing at the top of the stairs.

He whipped his head round at the sound of my voice, and so did Leo. I braved to look into Austin eyes, and when I did, it send a cold shiver down my spine. His eyes were jet black and his features were tensed.
