~Klaus POV~

Klaus sat down waiting for his sister to return with the final stake that could kill them. He was ready to be rid of this town that had only caused him suffering, ready to leave and make his new family with the hybrids, Rebekah would join him no matter what, but he was more concerned about the decision his wife would make. Would she stay here? Would she run away on her own again? Or would she runaway with him?

Rebekah entered the room waving the dagger and grabbing Klaus's attention. This was it, this was his ticket out of this wretched town.

"Sorry it took so long brother; Alaric was being rather stingy with it. It's a good thing I'm quite the charmer." She said, smirking. "Do you want to do the honours?"

"You acquired it, it's only fair that you get to dispose of it yourself." He grinned as Rebekah threw the last stake into the burning fire. "Now that that's over with, let's go. Pack up your bags."

"We can't leave now, it's the decade dance. I'm head of the committee, we have to go." She pleaded.

"I don't think we do. I've no interest in any dance, Rebekah. We'll just pick up the doppelganger, and off we go." He said, rolling his eyes at her.

"But don't you want to say goodbye to Fiore? What if she wants to come with us? Don't fight it Nik, one last hurrah!"

Normally Klaus, would've said no without hesitation but he couldn't leave without finding out if Fiore could go with him.

"One last hurrah, it is."

~Caroline POV~

Caroline was at the gym decorating it for the dance later on that night. She saw Fiore and Jeremy out in the corner putting on streamers and flirting. If the two of them continued, then Caroline's plan to get her friend and Klaus together would go up in flames. She saw Elena look at them with the same look that she had on and joined her.

"Oh sorry Caroline, I'll go back to setting up the gym." Elena said.

"I don't like those two together either." The vampire told her friend.

"Why?" Elena asked with a worried look on her face.

"I just don't think they're right for each other. What about you?" Caroline asked her.

"I don't trust her. Not only is she an original but she married Klaus. The worst one of them all." Elena said, glaring at Fiore.

"I know on paper Fiore sounds like a terrible person, but she's not like them. She's a good person and she would never do anything to hurt Jeremy." She said, speaking highly of her good friend. "Not that I'm advocating for their relationship. Just for her."

Elena smiled. "Okay, I'll take your word for it. If you trust her, then I trust her. How do you two even know her anyway?"

"It's a long story, but the gist of it is she's more than just my friend- she's my family." Caroline said smiling at Fiore.

"I get it. I trust her even more now. I'm gonna get back to making this place look pretty." Elena said as she walked off, leaving Caroline staring at Fiore and Jeremy in complete disapproval.

~Fiore POV~

"I don't know how you convinced me to come do this." I said to Jeremy shaking my head at him and blowing up balloons.

"That's easy. It's because you like me." He said as he tickled me mercilessly.

"Oh hush you!" I playfully swatted his hand away and finished setting up. I stood and looked around at all the work that we'd done. I'd done a lot of things in my life, secondary education was not one of them. I don't know why Stefan and Rebekah chose to go to this blasted place. Waking up in the morning, being tested and examined- no thank you. I mean they had the bloody internet, yet they were still sending children to be taught.
