Chapter 25: Girl's Night

I went to sleep that night and knew what I had to do. I had to break up with Jeremy, I wanted Klaus. I knew he was playing me last night but I also knew that I didn't care.

I woke up the next day to my phone ringing again. One of these days I would just throw it away to avoid this.

"What?" I snapped.

"Someone's not morning ready. It's a school day. I knew I was right to call you" Caroline was always so peppy I could never understand it. How you can wake up in the morning and just feel as perky ad ever will forever be beyond me.

"I'm not going"

"Yes you are, Miss Mystic Falls, it's a requirement. You can have your title revoked if you don't." Caroline said matter of factly.

"Fine, I'll be there" I grumbled.

I had a shower and put on a red midi dress. I wore Klaus's jacket with the dress, partly because it was his, mainly because it looked really good with the outfit. I picked up my school bag and left the house grumpily.

"C'mon we're gonna be late!" Caroline called out.

"I have a car you know, and vampire speed, I don't know why you're here" I said laughing at her.

"Most people just say thank you." She said frowning at me. "I just thought it'd be nice if we went together, now get in" she said opening the door for me. I huffed as I sat in the passenger seat and let her drive me to school.

"So" she said.

"So" I said back.

"Anything you want to tell me? You know about last night?" She said with a knowing grin.

"Of course you were in on it" I laughed. "Well in that case, your plan went off without a hitch. I'm going to break up with Jeremy"

"I knew it" she squealed.

"But don't tell Bonnie or Elena okay?" I warned her.

"Sure" she nodded as she started typing away on her phone.

"Who are you texting?"

"Bonnie and Elena, don't worry, I just need to find out where they are" she said before pressing send.

Caroline: Told you it would work, she's gonna break up with Jeremy

Klaus: Get back to me when she does it

Caroline and I walked into the school and met up with Elena and Bonnie by the locker. Elena looked like she had had a rough night—in the best way possible.

"I guess l'hôtel de Salvatore doesn't have a flat iron" Caroline giggled looking at Elena's messy hair.

"Yeah I was in a rush this morning" she lied. "Do you guys wanna have a girls' night? I'm in desperate need for girl talk. One thing though, you can't talk about you and Jeremy, I don't really want to know what goes on in my brother's sex life" she said looking pained.

"Sure" I said laughing nervously.

"Me too" Bonnie chipped in. "Shane's been teaching me some small spells I wanna try out"

"Creepy professor Shane is just creepy Shane now?" Caroline said looking at Bonnie.

"He's not creepy" Bonnie said irritated.

"We're not judging" I told her, looking at Caroline to get her to stop.

"Oh I am judging" Caroline said, completely ignoring me.

"Ignore her." Elena said rolling her eyes at Caroline. "So girls' night? We can raid the wine cellar" she said smiling impishly.

"Well if I wasn't in before" I was ready to get drunk on the best of the best.
