"Better Fiore. Much better" He said patting me on the head. "Now get the witch"
I walked over to Bonnie and picked her up in my arms gingerly, I knew if I held her the wrong way could die. She had already lost consciousness, if she wasn't healed soon she would end up in my father's intended prison.
"She needs to be healed, Father" I told him meekly, not wanting to upset him.
"No leave her, I'll heal her later." He said staring at me. "Come, catch me up on everything I've missed."
I froze up and let my mind run wild with things I could tell him. If he read my mind, he would find out that I didn't come look for him or help but worst of all, he would find out that I actively tried to stop him from being awakened.
"Father, while you were gone, I was honing in on my skills." I said smiling cautiously. "I wasn't sure if Quetsiyah had made any more immortals or anyone more powerful than us. So I learnt a few tricks and now, my mind is impenetrable." I needed him to believe me, I willed every bone in my body for him to believe it.
"I see you aren't a complete waste." He said sighing. "The girl then, I'll see her." I walked up to him with Bonnie still in my arms and he placed his hands on her head. He was weakened, he couldn't do it from afar. If he wasn't still immortal, I could've killed him, then and there, ended it all. "A Bennett witch, hm? A quite powerful one. Who knew Quetsiyah would ever find someone to have her Satan spawn with?"
"She's the one with expression magic." I squeaked.
"So it is her that will help me bring the Other Side down? I thought it would be you?" He said glaring at me. "Why isn't it you Fiore? It's been 2000 years, your powers have no bounds yet it's taken this long for me to be awakened."
"I'm sorry"
"You and your constant apologies" He said laughing heartily. "It was a joke, you don't need to be so fearful all the time. Oh, they're friends with one of my shadow selves?"
"Yes but Father, they'll be coming soon and in your weakened state, they'll be able to take you. They're—"
"Vampires. How abominable. You'd fit right in. They even thought you were one, how stupid of them" He said laughing still. "Well then take the witch and we'll leave."
I led him to the woods on the Island and stopped at a campsite, presumably that of the Professor.
"Leave her here Fiore." My father said as I lay Bonnie inside the tent. "Now heal her."
"How?" I asked quickly. I couldn't heal her with my blood even if I wanted to, but he couldn't know I was a vampire. He would despise me even more.
"With magic, obviously, how else?" He said rolling his eyes at me. I nodded and started to chant a healing spell, I smiled knowing that I had become a stronger person since last he saw me. He thought I was stupid and dim-witted, but I was smarter than that. And it was all because if Nik, he made me stronger, he made me who I was today. I owed it all to him.
"She'll wake up soon." I said smiling at him still.
"Okay. Go find somewhere to stay. After I finish with the Bennett witch, I'll come find you." He said shooing me away dismissively. "We're gonna join Amara. And don't worry, she's loving and kind and gentle, she could even love an unnatural being such as yourself."
"Can I go home?" I asked looking down at the ground. "I have a family."
"I am your father; I am your family. You go where I go, do you understand? We're gonna meet Amara, and we'll all live over there with her. We will be your family." He said glaring at me. "Now go be a good daughter and find us a place to stay. And don't do that annoying crying thing you do, it only annoys me more."
I nodded and ran away to find a place for us to stay. I couldn't stay with him, I couldn't leave Klaus, I wouldn't leave Klaus. I owed it to him, I would escape, I would be with him. My father be damned.
~Rebekah POV~
"Unless, you're blonde, A Bennett or a doppelganger, I would stay away." Rebekah spied on Damon as he approached the shack. The door creaked and he opened it.
"Where's the cure?" She said appearing beside him and startling him. "I know someone has it, so don't bother trying to lie."
"Katherine Pierce." Damon said gritting his teeth.
"The doppelganger?"
"Yeah, that sneaky little bitch must've been spying on us the whole time" He said clenching his fists. "She killed Jeremy, or at least someone did, might have been our immortal witch friend, who's awake now by the way." Damon said angrily. Rebekah was sobered, she almost felt bad for Elena. "Yeah cut the crap, he killed your brother."
"I'm not going to cry a river for him but I'm not heartless either" She snapped back. "he was Elena's only family."
"Then send your flowers after we find Bonnie" Damon said starting to walk away.
"No, we need to find Katherine." Rebekah said, refusing to move. Damon sighed as he turned back around to face her.
"I don't know a lot of things about this punishing world of ours but I do know that Katherine Pierce is long gone, Bonnie isn't, we need to find her."
"I'm going after Katherine. And I'm also going to find Fi" Rebekah sad defiantly.
"Fi" Damon stopped in his tracks and turned back to Rebekah with a look of fear. "Silas has her."
"What?"
"It makes sense doesn't it? Silas kills Jeremy and takes Bonnie with him so he has a midnight snack or just a witch to do his abracadabra's for him." He said his eyes widening in horror.
"But why would he take Fiore?" Rebekah asked sceptically.
"I don't know" Damon snapped. "But it's either that or she's gone all Thelma and Louise on us and bounced with Katherine, but do you see her leaving Klaus anytime soon?" Rebekah was still hesitant to go with him, it sounded like Damon just wanted her help getting Bonnie. "Fine, stay here I'm gonna go get my friends back."
Damon left and Rebekah stood there weighing her options: she could go look for Katerina or she could go and maybe find Fi. She didn't know much about the doppelganger but she did know that if there was even a miniscule chance that her best friend—no, her sister was with an unknown evil, then she had to go after her.
"Why do you even want to find Fi?" Rebekah asked Damon as she caught up with him. "Didn't she try to kill Elena?"
"After we took a dump on her trust. I can't say I blame her." He said shrugging his shoulders. "We all do bad things, there's nothing wrong with being a bad guy, as long as there's a purpose behind it."
"Oh my god" Rebekah said laughing. "You love her!"
"No I don't, I love Elena" Damon said defensively.
"Yes, but you also love Fiore! This is priceless" Rebekah said unable to control her laughter.
"I don't, but whatever, she's just my friend" Damon snapped walking quicker than before.
"Friend, that you love" Rebekah said sniggering as the two walked on.
Rebekah's confidence grew at this realisation, they both cared about her, even if Damon didn't want to admit it. They were going to find Fiore—she was sure of it.
A/N:
Guys! Next week is the last chapter! I feel sad all over again!
I finished this book a long time ago, I'm actually on Book 4 of the series, in fact the only reason I'm so slow with updates is because it takes time to edit all the chapters!
I'll give more details next week at the end about the sequel but for now, I'm going to release bonus chapters so please comment about anything you would like me to write about!
Dont forget to vote and comment! I love you all!
