"You knew Silas?" Jeremy asked me in surprise. "Another one of your scorned lovers? Are you Quetsiyah?"
"No. And don't make me kill you, you fool." I said looking back at him. "You want me to save Bonnie? Answer my questions and I will. The story of Silas that you know, tell me."
"Silas was engaged to Quetsiyah and he made an immortality spell for the two of them to take on their wedding day but Silas took the spell with the girl he really loved and Quetsiyah got pissed and offered him the cure and to go to the other side with her or be buried for eternity here and he chose to stay here" Jeremy said the story as if it was a nursery rhyme that was told to children, but it was all too real.
"But this tattoo of yours, has nothing about me?" I asked cautiously, I didn't want him to be aware of how scared I was in that moment.
"What? No, why would it have anything about you?" He said narrowing his eyes.
"It doesn't matter, what does matter is that you cannot touch him, until I get back." I said sternly.
"I don't have to listen to you, and don't even try and compel me because you can't." He said crossing his arms defiantly.
"But I can compel Bonnie." I turned to look at her as she lay there dying. "If he tries to wake Silas up while I'm gone, then kill yourself." I started to walk out of the tomb and back to Klaus when Jeremy called out.
"You didn't even look at her! How do I know you're telling the truth?"
"You know what I'm capable of, it's up to you. If you want to test out your theories, then do so." I ran back to where I had left Klaus dreading what I was about to tell him.
"Blossom, you're back? Do you have the cure already?" He said checking my hands for the cure.
"I don't have it yet." I looked down, I couldn't look at him. "I love you Nik. In spite of everything, I love you, and I always will. I hope you get to do wondrous things and I hope you never have to feel pain ever again." As I spoke a few tears trickled down my face.
"What's going on? You sound like you're saying goodbye. Why are you saying goodbye?" He snapped.
"I love you, more than there are stars in the sky, more than there is love in the world, more than words will ever be able to express." I leaned up and kissed him, knowing this would probably be the last time I would ever see him again. "I need you to run Nik. As far away from here as you possibly can."
"What? No I'm not leaving you Blossom" Klaus said as he cupped my hands in my face. I stayed like that, embracing it for one more second before pulling his hands away.
"You have to."
"I won't."
"Goodbye Nik." I took his face in my hands and gazed directly into his eyes. "You are going to run, you'll take the car and you'll drive all the way back to Mystic Falls without even thinking."
"No, Fiore NO"
"If you see Rebekah on your way, then you take her with you, by any means necessary, but if you don't then you go." I let go of him as he looked at me one last time before speeding away.
I walked back to the crypt slowly, tears flooding from my eyes. If I hadn't done what I did all those years ago, I could have prevented it, all of it. I could be with him now, I could go wherever in the world with him, but it was too late. I had laid my bed and now I had to lie in it. Alone.
~Katherine POV~
Katherine worked into the crypt where she saw Jeremy and Bonnie on the floor side by side. How sickening. She was only here at the request of her friend and she was only going to do that. She put on her best Elena smile and made her presence known.
"Elena you're here! You need to feed Bonnie, the hunter he stabbed her." He said urging her to save his friend? Girlfriend? She didn't really care.
"I will, but let's just get the cure" Katherine said trying to move him closer to the desiccated being that needed to feed on him.
"It'll still be there after you save Bonnie" Jeremy said standing up to look at Katherine. "Besides Fi compelled Bonnie, if I try to wake him, Bonnie will kill herself." He crouched back down to care for Bonnie and Katherine rolled her eyes at him.
"Just you? If you tried to wake him right?" Katherine said tilting her head to the side restlessly.
"Yeah I guess, but what does it matter? Save Bonnie" Jeremy said frantically.
"I forgot you were always such a brat"
"What?" Jeremy was catching on but it was too late for him.
"Sorry, but I'm not playing big sis any more" She sped up to him, sliced open his wrist and dangled his wrist over Silas's body who started to shake.
"Katherine" Jeremy gasped.
"It hasn't been nearly long enough, baby Gilbert" She sank her fangs into his neck and pressed down his throat to Silas's body.
"NO" Fiore had finally arrived but instead of looking happy about their plan going well, she looked horrified.
"Why do you look so shocked? I only did what you asked" Katherine said shrugging her shoulders.
"Katerina, I need you to take the cure and run. Don't tell me where, just go" Katherine did as she was told and fled. She didn't need to be part of this chhapter of the Mystic Falls saga and she didn't want to be.
~Fiore POV~
I prepared myself to see the one person I hadn't seen in over two thousand years. He sat up and looked directly at me, smiling as if we were still as familiar as always. As if no time had passed.
"Who is this?" He asked as he looked at Jeremy hanging weakly in his arms.
"His name is Jeremy. He lives in a place called Mystic Falls" I said submissively.
"You were together with him?" He said chuckling lightly. He was sifting through his mind and his memories. "And in that time he was also with that girl? Bonnie?" He said pointing at Bonnie on the floor.
"What?" I was shocked. I couldn't believe he would've done that to me.
"And you didn't even know? You're losing your touch, Fiore." He turned back to face Jeremy, unsure what to do to him. He was going to punish him for hurting me. He loved me, I know he did, but that one time, I didn't want him to.
"It won't matter for long, he's not worth the effort." He leaned to face Bonnie. "But she is." He snapped Jeremy's neck and dropped him on the floor. "Don't look so happy" he said staring angrily at him. "I just killed the boy that hurt you, be grateful"
"I am grateful" I murmured. "Thank you"
"Have you lost your manners since the last time I saw you? Thank you...?"
"Thank you, Father."
