~Jeremy POV~
Jeremy had followed Alaric back into his drab tomb to talk to him about something. Alaric was the closest thing to a father figure that Jeremy had and he needed to get as much out of him as he possibly could. Especially since this would be the last time he would ever see him.
"So who's the girl?" Alaric asked him smirking.
"Huh?" Jeremy was shocked by Alaric's sudden outburst, but he was more worried about how obvious his feelings were to other people—Fiore and Klaus especially.
"The girl that was outside, the one you want to talk to me about." Alaric said still smug that he knew Jeremy so well.
"Her name is Fiore" Jeremy said shyly.
"I think we met, for about two seconds before she knocked me out" Ric had said rubbing his head instinctively.
"That sounds like her. But the thing is, I like her—I like her a lot. And she likes me too, I think, she said she did anyway" Jeremy said finally meeting Ric's gaze.
"Not seeing a problem here kiddo" Alaric asked him looking befuddled.
"She's married to Klaus. Well kind of anyway, they have a complicated relationship. In fact, she's in love with him." Jeremy said looking downtrodden.
"Problem spotted." Alaric said nodding. "The way I see it; you have two options. You can let her go and be with Klaus, or you fight for her and make her realise that you're better than Klaus and she'll be happier with you. So what are you gonna do?" Alaric said staring at Jeremy intensely.
~Fiore POV~
Jeremy and Alaric walked out of the tomb and met Stefan, Damon, Caroline, Tyler, Matt, Bonnie, Elena, Meredith and I. They had all come with lit candles and had laid them around the tomb. It was heart-warming and I could see Alaric felt the love as he walked back into the tomb with a lone tear trickling down his face.
"I'm going to take Jeremy home" Elena said to me. "But could you please stay with him? I don't want him to go on his own" She said gesturing to Alaric.
"But I didn't know him. Wouldn't it be a bit strange? Maybe you or Jeremy sh- "
"No" Elena said cutting me off mid-sentence. "I can't face him. I need you to do it. I wouldn't ask if I had another choice. Besides, you're my friend, you're Jeremy's friend, he'll definitely like you" She said smiling sadly at me.
"So are we friends now?" I asked her trying to conceal my grin.
"Yeah, I guess we are" she said smiling back at me.
"You'll be okay I promise" I squeezed her arm comfortingly and she gave me a brave smile before leaving with rest of them and I joined Alaric in the tomb.
"Jeremy, is that you again?" He asked sitting down on the ground.
"Sorry to disappoint" I told him. "It's just me, the girl that knocked you out that one time"
"Water under the bridge." He said smiling at me.
"Well now I can introduce myself to you formally, Fiore Mikaelson, original vampire" I said extending out my hand to him.
"Alaric Saltzman, soon to be a dead man" He said taking my hand. "So what brings you to my humble grave?"
"I've been asked to keep you company" I told him as I sat down beside him.
"By Jeremy?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Elena actually" I said chuckling. "Jeremy was your first guess, not surprising at all."
