Given above is a picture of Nathan's penthouse. Goals, isn't it? Its only 2 chapters long and the book is already ranked #293 in Romance! The strength of you, my readers, is unbelievable.

Nathan's POV

"30 million one.." I hear the auctioneer call out. I still don't move my gaze from Ally's face. But damn the auctioneer, his voice dragged Ally out of our little down-the-memory-line bubble and she looks straight ahead towards the stage. The two men on her side lean in to discuss matters. I just sit back in the chair, grabbing the little bottle of water set in front of me on the table.

"I don't think that's wise" I hear the man's voice who was with me in the lift earlier. I gather his name is Robert. I chuckle at the thought that Ally is considering bidding higher. I gulp all of the water down in one large sip.

"30 million two..." The auctioneer announces, fixing his glasses.

I laugh lowly and throw the empty bottle back on the table. It rolls to the opposite end of the table and then rolls back to my side. That can be used as a metaphor for Ally.

"30.5 million!" She shouts and my head immediately turns to her. She does not look towards me but I can see her checking me out through the corner of her eye.

"31!" I call back, looking to the stage as well. I glance at the Armani watch on my hand. Gotta get done with this quickly. I have 5 meetings and one press conference to be finished with.

The trio start with their whispers again and I rake my hair, feeling very frustrated. If I don't hurry up, I am going to be late and that is not acceptable. I glance over at their table and for a very brief moment our eyes met again. But of course, she looked away in half a moment. I laugh shaking my head at her childish behaviour and pick out my phone which has been vibrating for the past 1 minute.

"Yeah?" I say into the receiver, signaling Alex to go on.

"You done yet?" He asks and I close my eyes.

"Nope. Your niece here wouldn't hurry things up. She's wasting so much of my time." I say looking at her beautiful face. Someone who doesn't know her would never believe how nervous she is right now. But she can't hide that from me. I've looked into her soul.

"She's a stubborn little girl. She's going to play hard to get." Alex's voice cracks through the phone breaking my attention. I just smirk at that, still admiring the way she is breathing hard.

"I was the best player, still am. So got no problem there" I speak into the phone and I hear him chuckle at the other end. For a slight moment Ally looks at me again, her eyes on fire. She looks at me in anger and then gets up from the chair, walking out of the hall in her graceful walk.

"Get the conference ready. I'm done." I say and end the call. They put their nameplate down and I smile triumphantly.

"31 million one, 31 million two, 31 million three." Finally! He strikes the hammer.

"Sold to Mr. Nathan Hale, in 31 million pounds. A round of applause for him, please" The crowd settles into low claps. How appreciative!

I look over at Ally's table and see the two men getting ready to leave. Robert is busy packing the laptop while the other man is busy looking at me with narrowed eyes. I stand up from my table and he does as well. As I proceed towards the stage, he blocks my way.

"Nathan Hale?" He asks as if to confirm and I nod, gesturing him to go on, "why haven't I heard of you before?"

"You will, very soon" I say, shoving my hands in the pockets of my trousers and resume my walk.
