Chapter 3

Hello guys! Here you are with another update. Please understand that I do not intend to offend anyone through this chapter. The scenes coming up in this chapter may seem insulting to some people, but please know that I do not mean to hurt anyone of you and neither does Nathan ;)

I quickly shower and slip my Armani 3 piece and trousers on. Fixing the grey tie around my neck, I quickly start working on my wet hair. The thought of Ally immediately crosses my mind, how much she loved the sight of my freshly washed hair. I smirk at my reflection and comb them back. I then pick up the Clive Christian cologne that sits on table and after I spray it on, I swiftly put on Patek Phillipe watch from the drawer stocked with a dozen designer watches. I sit down on the sofa to pull up my socks and put on my shoes which belonged to a collection of House of Testoni.

"Sir, your tea?" Larry asks as I get up from the grey sofa to walk out of the penthouse. I fix the jacket of my 3-piece suit and look at him.

"You have it." I say coldly not wanting to waste anymore time with this chap. I'm pretty late already, considering its my first day as an OFFICIAL CEO. I start towards the door and down the lift where my Audi awaits. Nick tips his hat as he holds the door of the car for me. I nod in acknowledgement and get inside. This should be fun!

"And this is Gloria, our HR Manager." Alex finishes the introduction to the head of each department. I stare intently at Gloria, who cannot find the courage to look at me in the eye.

"I've met her" I mention and her face goes red as she continues looking at the ground. I smirk and walk backwards, balancing myself on the table of my cabin. I cross my arms over my chest, taking one more look at the people standing in front of me. Of course, I know everything about them and this introduction wasn't even needed. But you know Alex.

"We'll have a nice chat later. Off to work, everyone" I say and they all let out a breath quickly heading for the door. As soon as they all are out, Mike comes in to brief me about the schedule up for today. I climb down the table and walk behind the desk observing the file in my hand.

"Sir, remember about the how you pissed off the CEO of Ricosta Corp the other day at the auction?" Mike mentions with a hint of humor. My head immediately pops up as soon as he mentions her.

"We have another opportunity to do that." He says with a sparkle in his eyes and I close the file and throw it down on the table.

"There is a tender released by PaperWorks yesterday. They are all about save-the-environment and I've heard The Ricostas are planning to deal with them so that they can improve their social image which they very badly failed in doing at the auction." I swear that sounded like I've just won my first football tournament as the captain. Such a pleasure!

"That sounds good. I want all the details about that deal by afternoon. Every minute one." I take off my jacket and position it at the back of my chair, folding the sleeves of my shirt up to my elbow.

"Noted." Mike nods and starts towards the door.

I walk back into the penthouse after a long day. Loosing the tie, I drop myself on the couch and throw my head back. When I close my eyes, I only see one face. One beautiful face. Too bad the face is not going to smile for a while. People need to learn, you don't mess with Nathan Hale.

I head over to the bar at the end of the room and walk around the counter, to face the shelves. The shelves are stocked with all the kinds of alcoholic drinks one can imagine. I can never imagine a day pass by without drinking down a minimum of 3 glass brandy. I suppress the desire to have some tequila just yet and settle for a bottle of whiskey. Once the lid is popped open, I find a fancy glass and position myself over the high stool. The details from this afternoon start striking in my mind. The company is London based, so she has a plus point there but that's it. I can easily manipulate them. But I'll have to think of something to say other than just higher money. I know she can match whatever level of money I raise to, so I need something strong against her. But what?
