"Marry me, Ally Ricosta" He says the words in a soft voice.
Wait, what?
Did he really just do that or am I dreaming?
I close my eyes and shake my head slightly. To my absolute shock and horror, when I open my eyes, he is still there. Poised on one knee with the ring in his hand. I feel like the blood has drained from my body, like I'm fainting, like this is not real. It can't be. Its too good to be. I glance back and forth from his eyes to the ring. Someone tell me what's happening please.
"Ally, are you alright?" He asks with a sound of worry in his voice. His eyebrows furrow and creases form on his forehead. I keep looking into his brown eyes, the eyes I was only dreaming to see a day ago. Am I alright, he asks. Well, I don't know? I wish there was someone who had an answer to how I am supposed to feel. Imagine having a crush, like a super crush, like a super massive one, on the most popular boy of your high school and also know that he isn't the most popular one for nothing, he is the hottest boy you've ever seen in your 17 years of dreary existence and he also happens to be the star athlete (preferably footballer, but let's keep it an athlete here). Now, day by day you keep falling more and more for him and then one fine day, guess what? He confesses he's been in love with you as much as you have been with him all this time! So you guys date for sometime, you know do those stupid teenage love things and then the day comes when you realise that you are falling way too much for him, so much you think its almost love. But you also know that you want to have a career and a successful life and all those independent things and so focusing on your mind on this relationship wouldn't be the best idea. And then an idea strikes you that maybe you and your boyfriend could apply to the same university and rent a room and go to college together and then you'll be together forever. You decide to talk this out with your boyfriend so you meet with him and then here comes the plot twist – before you can say your plans, he tells you that he's realised he's not the kind who goes into commitments and long term relationships and all the typical popular-boy-package stuff. And then bam, just like that, he's gone. From your life. Forever. So you cry for a couple of months but then you have goals and ambitions so you put yourself back together, get a job, imagine the best paying one actually, like the highest paying one in the world, while you have a sweet boyfriend who never fails to put a smile on your face. And then one fine day, out of nowhere, you have a competitor. You get to keep your amazing six figure pay job only if you can beat your competitor and guess who this arse is?! Yep, your high school crush. He decides to make a reappearance in your life. Let me make it clear, this time he's somehow gotten a million times hotter, so hot you'll doubt at least once if he's an undercover model (if that's a thing). You hate him, obviously, and at the same time you're falling for him harder, crossing the amount of attraction you felt for him when you were 17. So to avoid any confusions and problems that this man may have to offer, you try to repel him but by some miracle he has decided to apologise for the past and wants to stay in your life. You guys then do this on and off thing in the middle of which you break up with your current boyfriend and that is where all of it goes all the more wrong. You can't sleep, you can't eat, you can't work. You just exist. You keep drowning in the regret of all the stupid decisions and confusions you have going on in your mind and while you still haven't decided what is wrong with you, the popular boy asks you to marry him.
Will you be alright?
Hi, I am Ally Ricosta, CEO of the Ricosta Corp. Welcome to my ridiculously crazy, over-the-top unpredictable life.
"Ally?" Nathan shakes my shoulders breaking my long trail of thoughts.
"Hmm?" I make a interrogating sound to which he raises one eyebrow in the sexiest manner humanly possible.
