The Pregnancy

Chapter Nine

"Well... Is there still a baby?" I asked as the nurse as Luke grabbed my hand. Ashton was rubbing Grace's back which sent pain through my heart. You never know what you're missing until you let it go and they go and find something else. Well I can see that he is happy so it makes me happy.

I started to chew on my lip getting nervous because the nurse wasn't telling me if I still had my baby. "Excuse me ma'am I have to go get my boss and have him come look at this." She said walking out. 

"Ummm.. Can I please have an answer... I would kinda like to know so I don't have to worry." I said as I started to cry. Luke crawled into the bed with me and pulled me into his chest. "This means no, Luke I am so sorry."  I said starting to bawl into his chest.

"Shhh it's not your fault maybe it just wasn't our time to have a baby." I said as I felt a hand  rubbing my arm. I looked over and saw Grace. She was smiling, not a creepy smile but I nice warm smile. I see why Ashton likes her, I mean she is beautiful the way her hair falls like a waterfall over her shoulders and her eyes sparkle, and her smile, she smiles like nothing in the world can hurt her. 

"Thank you." I said starting to calm down.

"There is nothing to worry about I'm sure its just them talking about how your baby is a miracle." She said which made me smile.

"Thank you that really helps. Maybe you're right." I said as the nurse came in with the doctor.

"Okay now we are just going to do another ultrasound ma'am. If you wouldn't mind laying flat. Sir I am going to have to ask you to get off the bed while we are doing this." The doctor said as I laid down and Luke got off of the bed still holding onto my hand.

"That is weird..." The doctor said looking at the nurse.

"What's weird? Is my baby okay?" I said clutching Luke's hand harder.

"Well... Yes and no..." He said getting me confused.

"W-w-what do you mean." I said choking down tears.

"Well you were going to have twins.. But now you are only going to have one child. You had a miscarriage but only to one baby. Do you understand what I am telling you?" He asked as I see why they were confused.

"So I am only having one baby but I was supposed to have two." I said trying to process this.

"Yes." He said as I didn't know whether to be happy or sad. "I'm sorry for your loss, but also congratulations your still pregnant!" He said as he saw that I was confused on my feelings.

"Well Luke it looks like we have a little fighter!" I said as he kissed me. "I just feel bad for the other baby... Why didin't he get to live?" I asked as the doctor came back in.

"We are going to have you stay over night so we can keep an eye on you just in case something else were to happen." He said as I nodded and he walked out of the room.

"Well I am just happy to have one baby." Luke said as Micheal came in with a girl. What is up with the guys all of a sudden finding girls?

"Hey guys sorry I'm late. How did it go? Am I still going to be an Uncle?" He said as Niall ran into the room.

"Alex! I got a call from Ashton saying you were in the hospital are you okay?" He asked out of breath soon to be followed by the rest of One Direction and Calum.

"I'm fine.. But I think we might need a bigger room." I said as they all started to laugh.

"Are you okay? Why are you in the hospital." Harry said sitting on the side of the bed that Luke wasn't on.

"I'm fine guys. I just had a miscarriage nothing that big." I said as everyone suddenly seemed so sad.

"Alex I am so sorry." Niall said sitting down at the end of the bed. "I know how excited you were to have this baby." He said rubbing my leg through the blanket.

"No guys I was supposed to have twins but I am only having one child now." I said as everyone had the same confused feeling as I did. "So.. Micheal are you going to introduce us?" I asked trying to change the subject.

"This is Jassalyn. Jassalyn this is Niall, Louis, Harry, Zayn, Liam, Luke, Calum, Ashton, and.. Well actually I don't know who that is." He said stopping at Grace.

"Oh this is Grace." Ashton said as she smiled.

"Oh.. Hi Grace nice to meet you I am Micheal." he said shaking her hand. "Nice to meet you."

"You too." She said nodding along.

"Soo Mikey... How did you meet?" I said giving him a cute but creepy smile.

"Well I was in Target and I needed hair dye  so I went into the hair dye aisle and I was going to look at a box and we grabbed and when our fingers touched I knew I had to get her number. And when I looked up and saw how beautiful she was I just knew I had to make her mine. I am taking her out on a date tonight." He said as I was so proud of Micheal.

"Aww Mikey you have a hear!" I said as everyone laughed.

"Shut up we all knew I had one!" He said as we all laughed again.

"Well I'm glad you stole Michael's heart that we all didn't know he had." I said to Jassalyn while correcting Michael at the same time.

"I'm glad I did too." She said smiling over at him.

Sorry about the ending I didn't know how to end it.... Hope you liked how you met Michael Jassalyn! Tried my best!! Sorry I haven't been updating I have just been dealing with drama lately and I am trying to get that person out of my life before anything else happens so it might be awhile before I update again....

so we have two girlfriends put into the story, I Will try to put the rest in within the next 5 or 6 chapters...
