The Pregnancy

Chapter 32

It's officially been six months, six long months, but I finally made it. I'm finally getting off the plane in Minnesota to watch my big brother get married. I can't tell you how excited I am to finally see the big day. Let's be real I honestly never thought this day would come. When we were younger he was kind of a nerd. Playing dungeons and dragons and crap like that. He never had a girlfriend or anything so I was pretty shocked when he came home from college a few years ago with a girlfriend, I mean that girl isn't the girl he married but still he brought a girl home! She broke up with him a month after bringing her to our house but that lead him to finding his beautiful wife. Long story short he met her at a bar when he went out with his geeky friends over his break up.

"Alex!" I heard someone shout my name from behind. The same annoying voice I heard shouting my name every time  me and my friends would throw a party when our parents weren't home. "Woah where is your plus one you told me you were bringing with?" He asked before I turned around. "When did... How did... Is it... What the hell? Why didn't you tell me?" He said staring at my stomach. "How far along are you? Is it Luke's? Where is Luke?" Jake kept spitting out questions, I wasn't sure it was ever going to end.

"Okay, shut up. Help me with my bags and I will explain everything in the car." I said shoving a bag into his hand and walking towards the door. "Where did you park?" I asked reaching the parking ramp before him.

"Just right over here, I'm surprised I got such a good parking spot honestly." He said with a big smile on his face. He was obviously proud of his parking spot. "It's like God knew you were pregnant, gave me this parking spot, and didn't want you walking all the way across the parking lot." He said knowing that would annoy me. I never did like going to church and everyone in the family knows it. "Okay we are in the car now, spill." He said immediately turning and looking at me.

"Okay first, yes it's Luke and he's on tour right now with One Direction. I'm six months along and it's been one hell of a pregnancy, not that I have anything to compare it to but still. Luke will be coming to meet with you along with everyone else since you always want to meet everyone in my life." I said knowing he would appreciate that.

"Have you found out the gender?" He asked pulling up to his house. He turned off the car and turned to look at me. I nodded digging in my purse looking for the sonogram that I brought along to show everyone. "Am I going to have a niece or a nephew?" He asked before I found the sonogram. "Is this the baby?" He asked knowing the answer to the question. "I can't wait to tell Ellie she's going to be an aunt!" He shouted jumping out of the car and running into the house to show his fiancee the picture.

"Don't worry I'll get everything myself, don't worry about the pregnant lady!" I yelled at the house knowing Jake couldn't hear me. I somehow managed to get out of the car by myself and get my luggage out without hurting myself, well this is a first. I grabbed my bags and waddled into the house knowing my whole family would be there ready to start shit about the baby. 

"Alex honey why didn't you tell me you were having a baby?" My stuck up mother asked coming up to hug me. "It's not Luke's is it? I've been hearing about you and this Niall boy from little Scarlett down the road. She says he's very handsome and that you sure have made a lot of teenage girls very jealous." She said trying to touch my belly.

"No mom you don't get to touch my belly because yes this is Luke's baby. The whole Niall thing was just a fling and I got it all out of my system, so no I'm not with Niall and your grandchild is the spawn of satan, who is coming to see his baby later on today with Niall and the rest of the boys. I know you and daddy have been having issues so why don't you hit on some more of your children's friends. Oh and don't worry mom when Luke gets here I'll be going to the hotel with them so you don't have to worry about seeing me much longer." I said giving he a big smile and pushing past her getting a high five from my daddy.

"Baby girl just know that you are basically a mini me and not a mini her." He said pulling me into a hug. "If she wouldn't get fifty percent of all of our assets I would have divorced her by now." He said giving her the same big smile that I did only moments before. He was right I really am a mini me of my dad. 

"Oh look Mommy Luke just texted me and he said your favorite person is just a couple minutes away with some new eye candy for you." I said as me and my daddy walked outside and waited for the boys. "I really have missed you Daddy and I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this baby but I kind of wanted to rub it in moms face that Luke was the father. But I hope you will still be in this babies life." I said starting to break down a bit. "I'm sorry it's just these stupid hormones. I can't wait for this baby to come out!" I said when the boys pulled up in the drive way. "I'm so excited to see Niall!" I said as my dad looked at me questionably. "I mean Luke, I'm excited to see Luke." I said nodding along to everything I was saying.

"It wasn't just a fling was it?" Daddy asked me looking into my tear filled eyes. I shook my head not wanting to say anything because the boys were getting out of the car. "Which one is he?" He whispered not wanting the boys to hear.

"The blond one." I whispered before letting go of him to go hug Luke.

"Oh my god Alex I missed you so much." Luke said pulling me into a hug. "How's my baby boy?" He asked as I couldn't take my eyes off of Niall.

"Good, he's doing good." I said waiting for Niall to come up to me. "Go talk to Daddy he told me he wanted to talk to you. Right Daddy?" I said extra loud so Daddy would hear me.

"Yeah, yeah that's right! I have a few questions I guess." My dad said ushering Luke over to him and bringing him in the house.

"I know I shouldn't be saying this, and I'm sure you don't want to hear this since I'm a beached whale but...." Is all I could get out before Niall pulled me in and kissed me just like when I kissed him right before we went on our date. This is something I've been waiting for for six months, something that should have happened the day they left when he surprised me with roses. "As I was saying before I was interrupted." I said trying to make a joke but it wasn't really working out. "Okay anyways I missed you and I think I might, kind of, love you," I said as I felt Nialls lips pressed up against mine once more but this time with even more passion than usual.

"I love you too." He said as I found myself shoving my tongue down his throat. "I missed you so much." He said as we realized all the other boys were out here watching us.

"Hi guys." I said giving them an awkward smile. "Well let's go meet the family and pretend this never happened." I said walking towards the house.
