Chapter 2
Katie's PoV

I woke up because of the alarm.
Oh yes, It's the first day of school. Great.
I got ready and walked, alone. Brennan? He's already there.

I walked, then looked around. I nearly cried because of the memories.

Why did I break our promise? It hurts, it really hurts.

A tear fell. Shoot, I don't wanna cry.
I don't wanna look bad at school!

I quickly wiped it and ran to school. I went to my locker and placed some books I don't need at the moment inside. The bell rang, which means the first subject is going to start.

I went to my class which is Algebra.
I'm good at that, I guess.

I sat at the back part, and someone looked at me. I looked at him, and then something pops out of my mind. The boy I saw yesterday.
I quickly looked away, and in the corner of my eye, I saw him smile and look at the board.

That was creepy. I thought.

I ignored him, and listened to the professor.

Lunch time, I sat alone. I saw him with a girl... Then I realized who she is.

Liv.

She makes me go into trouble.
She saw me, then glared.
Oh no.

I finished my food, then quickly went outside of the cafeteria. She's gonna fight me alright.

I ran to my next class. I haven't bumped anyone, and that's unusual because I'm really clumsy.

Then...

Bam! I fell on the floor, Well, I AM Clumsy.

"Are you okay, Miss?" I looked up, and it was my seatmate in Algebra.

"Y-Yes.." I said. He helped me fix the things that I dropped, and I was so embarrassed. Gosh.

He held my hand and helped me stand up.

I felt like there were literal sparks flying inside of me.
Butterflies flying in my stomach.
My world moving slow.

I haven't had this feeling yet, because I've never liked anyone, except for Caleb.

"Th-Thanks.." I said shyly. "I'll be more careful next time." I added.

He smiled.
"I better.. get going."
"Okay." he said.

I walked fast to my next class, and saw that I was late. But luckily, The professor isn't there. Phew.

I sat on a vacant seat, then just in time, The teacher walked in.

I listened. And a student went inside, I really didn't pay attention because I was taking down notes.

"I'm sorry I'm late," He said. I remember that voice.. I looked up, and he saw me. He smiled then looked at Prof. Sanchez.

"First warning, Mr.?"

"Caleb LeBlanc."

And that was when I froze, like, I cannot move any of my body parts.
...Because I was shocked.

Caleb LeBlanc. Shoot.

NO! IT ISN'T HIM! YOU LEFT HIM HANGING! YOU'LL NEVER SEE CALEB!

I sighed.

Caleb's PoV

She seems a little... shocked, I guess.
I know she's Katie, as in my childhood friend, Because She still has her beautiful face, clumsiness, her smile... She still has everything.

I sat on a vacant seat beside her, well that was the only vacant seat, of course I would sit on there. It's not like I'll sit on the floor.

The professor left, and we have to wait for the next one.

"Hi, what's your name?" I asked, so that it won't be suspicious.
"Katie." She tried to smile.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure."
" I'm not trying to be creepy but.. Can you tell me about your childhood?" I asked, just to know why she left.
"Okay, I guess." She said nervously, like she was about to cry.

I didn't mind that. If I were in her shoes, I would feel the same.
