Chapter 20: The Future

We were meant to be
Chapter 20
Katie's PoV

Until I fell on the floor. I closed my eyes, pretending to hit my head. "KATIE!" Caleb yelled, and shaking me. "Oh no.." He whispered. "BOO!"

"OH MY GOSH KATIE!" He yelled, since he was startled.
I laughed hard, while he looked angry. "From now on I'll call you boo." I smiled. He didn't say a thing. "Hey, notice me!" I kissed him on the lips. He didn't smile nor laughed. Instead he stood up, went to the kitchen and ate, maybe. "Aw." I whispered, and sat on the couch. I later fell asleep.

After an hour I woke up, without Caleb by my side. He left me!
I went to the kitchen, and found a bottle of whipped cream and a note.

"Go to the backyard, I'm waiting for you, with a bottle of whipped cream. ;) Boo xx" I smiled. He used the name.

I grabbed the bottle, and hid behind the counter. I slowly walked to the backyard, and didn't spot a Caleb. Was it a prank?
"PEEK-A-BOO!" he yelled and sprayed the whipped cream on me. "OH IT'S ON!" I ran after him and sprayed. He carried me bridal style and spun around. While he was spinning me around, I sprayed his face.

After 10 minutes of running 'round and spraying each other, we ran out of whipped cream. "Oh." I mumbled. I ran over to him and tried to hug him but we both lost balance. I fell on top of him. "You okay?" he whispered. I stared into his brown eyes while the memories appear one by one.
He did so, too.

I kissed him on the nose, while getting off of him. "It's almost nighttime, want to star gaze or sleep?" He asked, sitting up. "Meh, I'd sleep." I stood up and took a shower. I didn't feel good, and since it's too cold, I wore one of Caleb's T-shirts. "Hey, that's mine!" He said, looking at me. "Too late, already wore it." I smiled and went straight to the kitchen. I cooked mac and cheese, since it was his favorite. Once he was done, I prepared the food. "I smell mac and cheese." he muttered, going to the kitchen.

I gave him the bowl of mac and cheese and ate mine. "Thanks boo." he smiled. "You're welcome."I smiled back, and continued to eat. After that, I brushed my teeth. I felt dizzy and I probably want to throw up.

It was my first time sleeping beside him as a married couple, since these last two weeks he and I packed the stuff we have, and the furniture he's been ordering. I laid on the bed and opened the TV. I felt exhausted from the unpacking and running we did all day. "Hey." he laid beside me. "I'm tired." I whined. He kissed me on the forehead. "Then go to sleep." He smiled. "Okay. I love you." "I love you too." He hugged me. I fell asleep in his arms.

The next morning, I looked around and saw Caleb wasn't beside me anymore."Caleb?" I said, rubbing my eyes. "Oh, hi Katie. Here, eat up. You'll drink medicine after." He brought a bowl of soup. "While you were sleeping, you were freezing. I checked your temperature and you have a fever." he added. I smiled and ate. He gave me medicine and a cup of water. I drank it, and he sat beside me. It made me remember the time I kissed him in the rain.

He kissed me on the lips. "No, you'll get sick.." I mumbled. "It's alright, It's alright." He smiled. I was shivering, as always. "Want my blanket for now?" he gave me his blanket since it was thick. "Okay." I laid down and fell asleep, again.

I woke up at 12 pm, and Caleb was also asleep. I felt a little better because of the medicine.

He's so adorable when he sleeps. I thought. I stared at him to get away with boredom. "You're so cute!" I mumbled and pinched his cheek. He didn't wake up, thankfully. He placed his arm on my hips a few seconds after I said that. He pulled me and now we're inches apart. Oh, I know what he's up to.

I went closer and closer, until I pinched his nose. "No." He opened his eyes and pouted.
"Hehe. Love you." I said, kissing him. He didn't remove his pout. I did it again, and again, until his mood brightens.

"Love you too." he smiled. "Do you feel any better?"He asked. "A little bit." "Want to eat? Anything?"

"You decide." I mumbled. He stood up and went downstairs. I laid there, since I have no motivation to stand up. After a while, I went down and saw Caleb cooking. I didn't know he could cook.

"Uhm.. Can you help me over here?" He asked, and I chuckled. I went over him and helped him cook. I explained what to do and all those jazz.

It was burnt, but it tasted good.
"How's my cooking skills?" he winked at me. "7/10 because I did most of it," I chuckled. "And one thing, don't wink, you look creepy." I tried to hide my laugh. He continously winked at me and I laughed harder. Then I started choking. Thanks Caleb.

"You okay?!" He grabbed a glass of water and I drank it. Soon after it was gone. "I'm okay, I'm okay." I said, and he sat back down. We started to eat again in silence.

To be honest, I never knew that being married with the love of your life would be amazing. I got to do things with him.

I guess this is a new chapter of my life.
