Chapter 10

Ashley's P.O.V

"Let's play" The teacher whistles and throws the ball to the middle, Aaron catches it and throws it to some random kid and disqualifies him, I smile at him and he winks at me making me blush, I hear someone snort so I turn to see Justin rolling his eyes at me, I sigh and pay attention to the game, I don't want to lose that fast, I'm good at dodging the ball and all but I'm not that good at throwing it, I'm not so strong.

Brittany somehow catches the ball and looks directly at me, I gulp and she smirks, but instead of throwing the ball at me she throws it and hits someone else, she mouths to me 'Not now' and wiggles her eyebrows, I feel someone's hand on my shoulder and I jump, I'm a little paranoid and the game just started, not good.

"It's me" Aaron chuckles and I playfully glare at him.

"Don't scare me" I pout and he smiles, suddenly his eyes look down at my lips, he starts to leans in making me gulp, I bite my lip nervously and I feel my body shake a little, I'm not ready and specially not now, in front everybody.

"Move, I don't want to lose" I hear Justin say making Aaron and I separate, I'm actually thankful to Justin, I look around and notice everyone looking at us, I suck on my lower lip and stand behind Aaron making him laugh.

"People we are here to play not to stand and do nothing, you can do that at home" The teacher growls and everybody focuses back to the game

The game keeps going, people losing but somehow I have managed to stay in the game, we are only 5 standing now, Aaron, Justin and I against Brittany and some kid that I think his name is Bradley.

You are probably wondering how come I haven't lost, well I'm really good at dodging like I told you before and Aaron helped me too, when I panicked he caught the ball for me and well rescued me.

"You are mine now" Brittany says and I take a deep breath.

Bradley gets the ball and looks at me but Brittany tells him that 'I'm hers'.

I'M NOT ANYONE'S PROPERTY !

I'm okay with people calling me stupid nicknames and all those stuff but calling me your property that's my limit, and you know what I mean by 'okay with it', I'm not okay with it but I rather that people will do that than call me their property, ugh.

Bradley throws the ball to Aaron and Aaron misses it so it hits him, he groans and goes sit with the rest, I take the ball and throw it to Bradley hitting him perfectly in his face, everybody laughs and Bradley glares at me, I shrug at him apologizing and I hear Justin chuckle.

Because I was too focused on Bradley I didn't notice Brittany had the ball, she smirked and threw the ball with all of her force to me, I closed my eyes waiting for the impact but it never came, I slowly open my eyes and see Justin's back in front of me, I furrow my eyebrows confused and see Brittany as confused as me, Justin throws the ball at her and it hits her in the stomach but not so hard, she is a girl after all.

Okay, what just happened?

Everybody cheers and starts congratulating Justin, Aaron walks to my side and looks at me confused, I shrug and he does the same, we hear the bell ring and I smile, finally.

"No!" Aaron groans and I chuckle. That's new, who gets sad because class is over? Even I that I'm a geek I don't get sad.

"Huh?"

"That means I don't get to be with you" He says and I feel my cheeks get red. I was about to say something but someone cut me before I got the chance to open my mouth.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DID THAT !" I hear Brittany's annoying voice shriek, I turn around too see her fighting with Justin, I have no idea why he did what he did, he said he hates me, I know he does, but he anyways didn't let the ball hit me and threw it at HIS girlfriend, okay...

"I think we should go before she starts yelling at you too" Aaron says bringing me back to reality and I nod.

While walking around the corridors everybody is looking at me and laughing, they weren't doing that at all morning because I was with Aaron but now he is not with me so I don't have 'protection', I look down in embarrassment making them laugh even more and I feel a tear coming down my cheek.

I wipe it and get to my locker, I open it and take my backpack out, I open it to take my lunch but I don't find it, Ugh, I forgot it, I'm really hungry though, this is so annoying.

"Ashley" I hear Aaron's cheery voice coming from behind me, I'm still not used to this Aaron but that doesn't mean I don't like it.

"Hey" I say almost whispering, he makes me turn around to face him and I suck on my lower lip, I do that every time I'm nervous and don't know what to say.

"What's wrong?" He frowns and I fake smile at him.

"Nothing, I'm just really tired" I add a little yawn and he smiles believing me.

"Are you coming to the cafeteria?" He asks and I shake my head as 'no'.

To make them laugh at me more? Ha, no thanks.

"Oh, come on, if someone dares to say something to you I'll kick their ass" He says making me giggle.

"What if it's a girl?" I challenge and he thinks for a second before answering.

"I'll ask for someone else to do it" He says and I playfully roll my eyes at him.

"Come on" He grabs my hand and again everyone is silent and doens't dare to look at me or laugh at me.

Aaron is one of the most popular kid on school, everyone does as he says, that's why they don't do anything when I with him but when I without him then they are free to do whatever they want, I hate myself for not having the courage to stand up for myself, I need to stop depending on Aaron, he is not going to be with me forever, I need to learn how to stand up for myself and I'll, I just need the courage.

We get to the cafeteria and he starts walking to the 'popular' kids table, I see a couple of familiar faces like Claire, Brittany and Justin sitting there so I stop on my tracks making him stop too, suddenly I'm regretting coming, I should have just went to the library, wait till I can go home to eat there but no I had to come with him.

"Don't worry" He whispers at me and I nod while sucking on my lower lip.

How can I not worry, I'm going to spend lunch with the people who hate me the most, this is going to be hell.

A/N SHORT AND CRAPPY CHAPTER SORRY BUT I'M SUPER TIRED BUT I PROMISE YOU THE NEXT CHAPTERS ARE GOING TO BE MORE INTERESTING, YOU'LL SEE, I HAVE SO MANY THINGS PLANNED FOR THE STORY :D
