Chapter 26

Chapter 26:

Connor's POV

After what happened two days ago, Sam and Sky never talked to each other. I didn't bother to let it be resolve that fast because I know it would be hard for the two. I know Sam would be really devastated but I know she's strong enough to talk to Sky really soon.

"Hey Con?" Riley called my attention.

"Yeah?" I turned to face him.

"What's the truth behind the rumor spreading around us?" he said.

"What do you mean?" I asked confused.

"You and Sam. The thing that Braiden was saying."

Then it hit me... "Yeah that. Nothing happened between Sam and I." I simply said. "and oh, Riley, What's the truth behind the rumor spreading that you like Sky?" I said loud enough for the others to hear. Though Sky isn't around, so does Sam and Alex. It was only Toby, James, Brad, Braiden, Thomas and I around the cabin.

"Yeah, Riley?" Thomas shouted.

"I don't like her!" he immediately defended himself.

"DENIAL!" Braiden and I shouted in unison making him blush. So he does like Sky.

"I don't like Sky, okay?" he then again defended himself.

"LIAR!" now it was James and Brad's turn to shout. I guess they can sense he wasn't telling the truth.

"Just tell the freaking truth, bro. Sky won't even know that you like her." It was Toby who said that.

He collapse on the couch and heave a heavy sigh. "Ok, fine. So what if I like Sky? What's your problem?"

"So, you really do." I commented.

"We don't have a problem with that, mate." Brad uttered. "And for the record, I think you and Sky are one cute couple."

He laughed at what Brad said. "Cute people, eh?! As if she likes me."

"Well, what if I say she does like you. BIG TIME!" Thomas said.

His eyes widen and looked at every one of us. We all shrugged. We didn't know that, if you're asking.

"Are you serious, Tom?" Braiden asked Thomas.

"I am. If you haven't noticed Sky and I are quite close and Sky likes telling things to me and she shared that to me." Thomas explained. He turned to face Riley. "Remember the time when you and Sky were by the swing?" Riley nod as the rest of us just listened and looked at the two. "She was about to tell you that you mean so much to her and that she really likes you ever since she meet you. Believe it or not, before she met you, she fell in love with just your name. She finds your name really cute among the rest. And then she finally had seen you, she was head over heels with you."

Riley's POV

As I listen to what Thomas was saying, I was shocked that she left that towards me. I know at that time, she was just trying to lift up my spirit. She was making me feel better of myself, I didn't know she likes me ever since.

Once Thomas had finished, I kept quiet and just look at him. "That ridiculous, Tom."

"It's not Riley. It's all true." He said.

"How would I know that you're telling the truth?"

"Try consulting her." he suggested.

"That would be even ridiculous." I commented.

"Then ask Sam or Alex about it. I'm sure they know." He suggested again.

I just nod.

"If that's all true, you should let Sky feel you like her or you cared for her the way she cared and likes you." Braiden said.

"Yeah, it would be a perfect timing since Sky is, I think, not okay right now." Connor uttered.

"How do you know, Con?" I asked Connor with confusion.

"If you haven't noticed, Sam and Sky aren't in good terms right now. I'm trying to comfort Sam through it and Sky is alone. She needs someone, Ri. And that someone could be you." Connor said.

"Do that tomorrow, bro. it's getting really late and I know you are exhausted with today's challenge." James commented.

"Yeah, James is right. We should be heading back to our cabin right now." Braiden said as he stood up from the couch across mine.

"So do we." Brad said referring to James and himself.

"Ok. I'll talk to Sky tomorrow." I said agreeing to what they just suggested.

"We got to go, mates." James said as he walks to the cabin door. "See yah all tomorrow. Bye." He said going out the cabin.

"Bye." Brad said following James out the cabin.

"Bye, guys." We called out to them.

"We should also go." Thomas uttered as I noticed Braiden by the door already. "Bye."

"Bye." Connor, Toby and I called out.

The three of us, headed to our respective rooms without saying a single word. I guess we are all exhausted of the challenge earlier. We had a lot of tree climbing to do. Since, the three of us aren't used to climbing trees we had troubles getting to the top but we still manage and got the 20 points. Yeah!

I lie on bed and stare at the ceiling. My eyes started to shut. When it was already shut, all I could see was Sky's face.

I don't know what it really meant, but I'm guessing that I like Sky BIG TIME now. Now that I knew she likes me back but the thing is if it's true. I'm not a hundred percent sure that she likes me back but somehow I think she likes me back.

I hope I get the chance to ask her if she likes me when I talk to her tomorrow.
