Chapter 4:
As Alex and I sat under the shaded tree, a familiar voice spoke through the speakers: "Calling all campers, gather at the quadrangle now. The opening ceremony will start in 5 minutes."
So much for staying under the shade. The tree was not really that close to the quadrangle. If ever we just stay here, I might not understand what the people are saying or, worst, we might get scolded. I got up and started stretching. I stretched my arms up to the air and down to my toes. Well, I like stretching after a long walk or after sitting for a long time. I stood straight and helped Alex up. As I tried to balance, someone bumped into me. We both fell on the ground. Alex immediately held out a hand to help me up while 2 guys helped the guy, beside me, stand.
Once I was back on my feet, Alex and I were faced with 3 guys.
Dude #1: the guy looked older among the 3 and he has blonde hair. And he has blue eyes. He stands a bit shorter than the guy in the middle, which was the guy that bumped into me. He has a plain blue shirt and black leather jacket on.
Dude #2: the guy that bumped into me has black hair and has brown eyes. He had a black shirt and a grey hoodie on.
Dude #3: the guy that was standing on the left side of Dude #2 has brown hair and eyes. He had a grey shirt and a black varsity jacket, with a huge 'S' on the side, on.
"I'm really sorry. I didn't see you standing there." Dude #2 said.
"It's fine." I simply said. Well, it wasn't.
"Riley, we should go now or else we get punished." Dude #3 said. He was already backing out with Dude #1. Then later on Dude #2 followed them.
"I'm really sorry." He called out.
As they ran away, I noticed Alex was frozen and was really star struck or something. I snapped a finger in front of her face and she unfroze.
"What happened to you, Alex?" I asked.
"Did I just see them face to face?" she blotted.
"What? Those 3 dudes?" I said uninterested.
"Hell yeah!" she squealed. What's wrong with this girl? What got into her that she started acting like this?
"Who the hell are they?" I asked curiously. I know they are somehow famous, but I have no clue, who they are.
"The most awesome guys on earth. Well aside from THE One Direction. All girls go crazy over them."
"Oh really?!" I'm unconvinced.
"They are. They're in a band called Before You Exit." She squealed.
"Okay. That settles it. Let's get going." I said and dragged her to the center of the quadrangle.
As we stood there, a lady came out from the backstage and walked towards the podium. The lady looked so familiar. I thought for a second. I think I saw her somewhere. Then I finally realized who it was. It was Angela, the girl that brought me here from the airport.
"Well, good day, girls and boys." She trailed off. "Welcome to the camp." She started saying things that I didn't bother to know.
I've no interest in listening to her little introduction and blah, blah, blah. Nothing was on my mind in particular, except that I badly miss my mum and I miss Nando's.
Alex nudged me and I looked at her. I shoot her a 'what' look and she pointed to someone...I clearly don't know. I tried to follow at where her finger was pointing, but I didn't notice anything that I care about.
