DeVanté's POV

"I-I just cannot do this." She said more as if she had come to a realization.

"Morgan, I swear I won't do what I did last night ever again." I started tearing up.

She just looked at me and shook her head. "It's not just about that."

"Then what is it, baby? I'll fix it."

"I just...I don't- " She took a deep breath. "I love you, DeVanté..."

I smiled a little.

"-but I'm not in love with you." She finished.

Them words stung like a bitch.

"I'm done." She said simply.

I didn't even say anything, I didn't try to stop her whatsoever. All I did was watch as she grabbed her bag and left me...

All I did...was watch my whole life leave me and slam the door in my face.

Morgan's POV

I got in the car and drove off. It really surprised me that he didn't try to stop me. I was glad he didn't, but a little frightened.

Why didn't he try to stop me? 🤔

Is he planning on letting me think I got away, but will come for me when least expected? 😳

Those questions were in my head.

I pulled into the driveway and put the car in park.

Aunt Gayle and Tionne...great. 🙄

I got out of the car with my bag and slowly walked to the doorstep. I got out my key and unlocked the door, walking into a living room with boxes everywhere.

What the?...

I closed and locked the door back then went up to my room.

"Here she go!" Tionne yelled.

"Why are you in my room?" I asked, obviously confused.

Aunt Gayle rushed in the room and gave me a stern look. "Where have you been, young lady?"

"I- I was at a friend's house. What's going on?" I tried changing the subject.

"And what friend would that be, missy?"

"Tori's." I lied through my teeth.

She stared at me for a second and said "Mhm." Then she left out.

I looked over at Tee. "What the fuck, bro?" I whispered.

She sighed. "Y'all movin, Mo."

I raised my eyebrow. "What you mean moving? A few blocks away? Or...out of state type of moving?"

"LA." She said lowly.

"LA!?"

She nodded with a sad facial expression. "I'm not goin with y'all."

My mouth dropped to the floor.

How was I going to cope with being thousands of miles away from my sister? My rider? My day one?

"When...When are we moving?" I asked.

"She said in the next week or two."

I shook my head and stomped to Aunt Gayle's room.

"When were you planning on telling me?" I asked a little loudly.
