I place Ivan in my lap and hold him close. I wasn't letting Lilah hurt anymore children. Tonight will be the last night she'll ever see.

Tonight, it is over for Lilah Morelli.

"What's your favorite color?" I ask Ivan. "Green, like your eyes." He answers and I playfully open them more. He grins and he mimics me. I ruffle his hair and he pouts. I laugh and he smiles. He looks down and I blink. "Do you live by yourself?" He asks as he slowly looks back up at me. "No." I answer. "I live with my younger brothers, and my..." I trail off, not sure if Ivan knows what a mate is. "Your mate. I know what that is." He says and I let out a breath of relief. "Matter of fact, let's call her." I say and pull out my phone.

I scroll down the contacts list and find Hayden's number. I press dial and put it on speaker.

Hayden

I wake up from my daily three p.m. nap to the shrill ringing of my phone. I swipe to answer and hold it to my ear.
"Hello?" I ask groggily, blinking away the sleep.
"Hayden, it's Beau." I hear a voice return and I feel my heart grow at the sound of his voice.
"H-how have you been? Where have you been?" I ask and I hear his sigh.
"Hunting her. She's been taking kids." He says and I gasp.
"What ages?" I ask worriedly. My heart sinks at the thought of children being hurt by the witch.
"Varies. From 5 to 11." He answers and I shut my eyes.
"I heard she's coming tonight to get more. Alpha Black ordered every boy near or in that age group are to hide in the hall. There is one Enforcer for every five kids. The Alpha, Beta, and myself are staying in here with them to help. I'm not letting anymore people get hurt." He growls and I stay silent.
"Who's that?" Jai asks as he comes out of the bathroom rubbing his hair with a small towel. My eyes stray down to the red towel wrapped around his waist. "It's Beau." I answer while moving my phone slightly. His eyes darken slightly and he reaches for my phone. "Luke!" I call as I use my hand and feet to stop Jai from getting the phone.
"Is everything okay?" Beau asks and I push Jai back. He rolls onto the bed beside me.
"Yeah, yeah. Just the dog was pulling my sock." I lie and I hear a little kid talking in the background.
"Who's that?" I ask.
"It's the kids. They're scared." He answers.
"I'll call you back Beau. Nanook's fighting Kodiak." I say.
"Okay I'll FaceTime you later?" He asks.
"Yeah." I answer quickly.
"Bye, I love you." He says and I pause.
"Yeah, yeah bye." I answer and hang up.
I push Jai's face away my neck and he nips my finger.
"I'm here to save the day!" Luke yells as he runs into the room.

He notices Jai's frown and his smile falters. "What happened?" He asks.
"Beau called her." Jai growls and Luke sits on the corner of the bed.
"Where is he?" He asks and I bite my lip.
"With Alpha Black." I answer and he nods.
"Come on. Let's go for a run. You need it." Luke says and Jai groans.
"Can't we just play Fifa today?" He grumbles and I laugh.
"Sorry Jai." Luke says. "I can feel her power has been kept in for too long."
Jai just groans but gives in.
"Fine, let me get dressed and we'll go." He says and goes into the closet.

It has taken a while, but the three of us had finally decided to share the room. We had thought that it would be better that we shared the bed instead of different rooms.

Luke and I go into the living room while waiting on Jai to hurry up.
"Why does he take so long? He only has to put on shorts and shoes." Luke grumbles and I press a gentle kiss to his cheek. He turns his head and presses his lips to mine. His hands cup my face and his tongue slips between my lips. He leans in more then pulls back. He presses a kiss to my lips then to my nose.
"I love you." He says and I have no issue saying it back.
"I love you too." I reply and he smiles.
"Come on lovebirds, I want play Fifa today." Jai says and I laugh.
"We'll play when we get back." I say and he smiles happily.
"Don't get too happy, you." I say with a frown and he rolls his eyes at my attempt to be mean to him. He simply wraps his arms around my waist then throws me over his shoulder.
"Jaidon Bryce Evans put me down!" I screech at him and I hit his back with my fists. Luke laughs and I lift my head to glare at him. He just follows us outside with a small grin on his face.

Jai finally puts me down and I glare at him. He simply pecks my lips then shifts. He rubs his head against my thigh and I shift. I now stood in beside Jai, my midnight fur gleaming in the low sunlight.

My wolf had made her final change into a sleek, gleaming midnight black wolf with light amber eyes.

Due to the fact that Jai and Luke are my mates, they too gained small changes. Luke has gotten three white stripes on his neck and shoulders with a reddish brown tint to his dark fur. Jai has gotten a dark charcoal gray tint on his head, ruff, and body. It made him look like like the dark monster I know he can be.

But he was also a loving man when needed. Jai has two sides to him, but he had one reserved only for me to see. The side with a warm, loving heart.

But that monster will always be a part of him. Just like it is for Luke, and Beau. I knew that they all have that side to them, it wasn't removable. Knowing this gave me a sense that they'd be wonderful fathers one day. That side awoke only when what they love is threatened.

We run through the trees, with me leading the boys. They weren't going to be the leaders today. Today, we were playing by my rules.

I ran, and they chased. They were always right at my heels or a foot behind. But sooner or later, they caught up.

Jai crashes into me and I roll under him. He playfully nibbles at my jaw and I lift my head. He whines at my disinterest at his play and Luke lets out a low howl. I ignore him too and I feel Jai try to make me pay attention to him. I lift my head higher and he huffs.
Luke nips my cheek and I move my head to the side.

Finally, they give up and we play in the nearby creek for the rest of the afternoon. Well that is until a growl sounds from the opposite side of our border. I growl back and I see fiery pale blue eyes glaring from the brush. I stand taller and I feel my mates come to my side. The wolf emerges and I suddenly don't feel so brave.
