Genesis' POV

"We could if we tried Chloe.  Come we have to at least try!" I protested.  "Gen!  You can barely move!  Have you seen your side and back?" Chloe said.  Chloe was right.  My back and four large gashes on it from the belt, and my side had large bruises and a cut that was likely infected.  And it did hurt to move, really bad.  "I know, but...but we need to do something!  We've been here for, like...three days or something!" I said.

Yeah, three days at least.  I had seen the sun rise three times, so we had been here three whole days.   Everyday he came down and yelled and kicked at us.  It hurt so bad, but at this point we just took it.  I gasped every time he took the wind out of us.  I would just hope that people were out there looking for us.  Did mom come back from Paris to help, or was she still there?

The sun had set about an hour ago, and I was already tired.  There was no way we could escape even if we wanted to.  We hadn't eaten or drank anything in three days, and getting beat wasn't helping.  Blood loss probably wasn't helping either.  We were both tired, that's what happens when you're deprived of everything and sleep is the only way to pass the time.

The footsteps upstairs were still audible.  He was still awake, I swear this guy never slept, or he did when we were asleep.  "Do you think we'll die Gen?" Chloe asked.  "I don't know.  I hope not.  We've gotta live Chloe." I told her.  We reached out and held hands together.  That's how we always fell asleep, cause if someone was moved or something, we would know.

"God, please send help.  Let them find us.  Let Chloe and me be okay.  I wanna go home." I prayed to myself.  I then leaned my head against the cement wall and closed my eyes, my hand still interlocked with Chloe's.  "Please God." I muttered one more time.

I dreamed of my mom and dad.  I had died here and went to heaven.  They were waiting for me.  I ran up to them and started crying.  "I miss you guys so much!" I cried.  "We miss you too Genesis.  But you have to go back.  They need you, Chloe needs hope.  They'll come and get you.  I promise." my dad said.  "They're coming to get you.  They will find you." my mother said.  That's when I woke up.

*Five Hours Later*

I had woken from my dream to loud footsteps upstairs.  What time was it?  Probably between midnight or 2 A.M.  Chloe jolted awake from my movements.  "What's going on?" Chloe whimpered.  "I don't know." I cried, tears streaming down our faces out of fear.  "We gotta try now." Chloe said.  "Chloe, we can't.  I can't even move." I cried as I felt the cut on my side open up.

The door downstairs opened and once again we were blinded by the lights upstairs.  I kept my eyes shut, thinking, "This is gonna be it.  This'll be how I die." I cried.  I heard footsteps down the stairs.  Two sets, not one.  "Down here!  We need a medic!" I heard someone say.  Female voice, had to be one of the sets of footsteps.  I felt somebody come close to me, and with my eyes still closed, I tensed my body.  "Hey, Genesis.  My name's Andrea Ryans.  I'm with the FBI, you're okay now.  We're gonna take you and Chloe to the hospital.  Come on Genesis, can you hear me.  Gimme a sign." she said kneeling down next to me.

I had lost almost all strength, but I reached my hand to hers and brushed against it, trying to open my eyes.  It hurt so much to do just those simple actions.  "Good, good job.  The medics are gonna be here soon.  Just stay with me.  Can you talk to me?" she asked.  "Three days." I cried.  "That how long you've been here?" she asked.  I carefully nodded my head, but a jolt of pain went through me.  "Ryans, you ready to take her up?" another person asked.  "Gimme a second.  Gonna try to not hurt her more." she said.  "That's agent Hannah Blake.  She's helping you're friend Chloe." she said.

"Okay, now I'm gonna try not to hurt you.  But I gotta take you upstairs to the ambulance.  I know it hurts, but I'll be careful I promise.  Do you trust me?" she asked.  I squeezed her hand a little tighter to let her know I was ready.  "Okay, good." she said and I felt her carefully lift me up.  I felt dead inside and I tried to open my eyes.  For the few seconds I could hold them open, I saw Chloe being picked up by the other agent.

I couldn't feel much else.  It was like needing glasses, everything was fuzzy.  I could see lights and shapes, but nothing was distinct.  "She's losing blood from this cut.  She needs to be in the ambulance now." Andrea said.  I could feel that I was outside, voices, sirens, and lights.  That's all I could tell.  "Where's Chloe?" was the only thought in my head.  "Chloe." I muttered.  "She's gonna be in the other ambulance.  You'll see her soon.  I promise you." Andrea said.

When I was laid down in the ambulance table/bed thingy, the lights above were too bright.  I was too weak to care though.  I felt Andrea sit down beside me. "I'll be right here with you.  It'll be okay." Andrea said as she continued to hold my hand.  "Get there as fast as you can.  Vitals are dropping.  Dehydration and exhaustion are hurting her bad." somebody else said.

"It'll be okay." I heard Andrea promise again.  And that was the last thing I heard before I passed out.
