"Tess!" I squealed as she entered through my house door. "G-G!" Tessa exclaimed as we hugged. Tessa and I had planned a shopping day a while back. Jamie was supposed to come with us, but she had to got her tonsils taken out the other day and wasn't really feeling up to it.
"Hey G. Hi Miss Lawrence." Tessa's brother Garret said. We were going out shopping for school stuff. Well Tessa, Garret and his girlfriend Samantha that came with, were going school shopping. I'm still doing online school so I'm kinda just shopping in general.
"Hey Garret. Genesis, do you need more money?" Mom said. "I have my debit card. I think I'm more than fine." I chuckled. "That's the only card your bringing?!" Samantha laughed. I just kinda stared at Sam, she was something else.
"Later mom! See ya tonight!" I yelled as we exited the house. "Alright Munch 1 and Munch 2, in the back." Garret said as he called me and Tessa by our nicknames. 'Munch' became our nickname after we ate over 20 pounds of food together at an all you can eat buffet.
Twenty minutes is a long time for the four of us, and the whole time was spent jamming out in Garret's convertible car. When we rolled us to the mall, we assessed the game plan of attack. "Okay," Sam started, "I need to go to Penney's, Macy's, Victoria Secret PINK, Nordstrom, Nike, Hot Topic, and American Eagle. Does anyone else need to go any of those places?"
"Hot Topic, Nike, PINK, and Nordstrom. I also wanna hit up the Disney store!" I rattled off. Tessa gave somewhat a similar response. "I need to go to either Walmart or Target afterwards too. I'm gonna get my plain shirts and tanks there." Tessa added. Garret rolled his eyes and said that he just needed three pairs of jeans, a few shirts, a new pair of shoes, and a jacket. Men, they're so simple.
Tessa and I both made the mutual decision to do back-flips, cartwheels, and aerials across the paring lot to the mall entrance. "Can you guys not?! You're gonna kill yourselves!" Sammy laughed as she tried to be serious. We stopped before we actually got hit by a car. "Where first?" Garret asked. "Nike, we all need stuff from there." Tessa suggested, and with that we were on our way.
In the Nike store, it's basically a dancer's heaven. I got two pairs of Nike Pro shorts, a new sports bra, and a pair of graphic leggings. I was gonna get new running shoes, but I got a new pair a few weeks ago so I didn't need to. I purchased my items and waited for everyone else. "Excuse me?" I heard from behind me. I turned around and had to look down. A little girl no older than nine stood before me. "Can I have a picture with you? Your my favorite dancer!" she squeaked.
"Aw! Of course! What's your name?" I asked as she handed me her glittery iPod. "Peyton." she answered. "That's an awesome name, do you dance?" I asked. She laughed as she showed off her sweatshirt that read 'Straight Outta Dance Class'. I took the picture with her and then she thanked me before running off to her dad with a huge smile.
The first half of our shopping day was well spent. We went into a few more stores before taking a break for lunch. "Good haul." I stated as I sipped on my milkshake. I had three bags of things that were mostly-if not completely- full. "Yeah, I think I have a shopping problem." Samantha winced as she looked at her five bags, and we were only halfway done.
"Hey Gen, so how did the audition go?" Garret asked. He must have seen the post on my social media. "Pretty good. Two of the leads were at the audition! Talk about nerve-wracking!" I laughed. "But no, it was really good. I think I did good. It's alright if I don't get the role though." I said. "Yeah but they'd be stupid if they don't pick you!" Tessa exclaimed. Sammy nodded in agreement.
The next half of the day went pretty good. In the Disney store I had a little bit of a problem. You see, they had these really cool shirts that had all the old school Disney shows on them and it said '#TBT'. Yeah, I got one and a few other things. Now that I think of it, that also happened in Hot Topic and Nordstrom...
But all things aside, I still had less than Sammy! Her and Tessa must have had thirty bags combined! We actually had to make a stop at the car during the day so they could drop their bags off.
I guess I had my fair share of bags though. I ended up buying about five hundred dollars worth of stuff. I got this cute dress and sweatshirt from Nordstrom, Harry Potter Blanket and Harley Quinn tanktop from Hot Topic, Lion King Pillow Pet and flip-flops from the Disney store, a JoJo Siwa bow from Claire's, backpack and sweatshirt from PINK, a really cute leotard from a dance store, the stuff I got from Nike, and this awesome phone case inspired by the book 'Paper Towns'.

We all left the mall around 5:30 pm and then went to Red Robin for dinner, where Tessa and I lived up to our nicknames of 'Munch'. I atemore food in that one meal, then I would probably eat in a whole week! What can I say, I can be a dainty eater, or a bottom-less freaking pit!
After dinner, we went to Target. That was a little bit of a disaster though. Apparently, the paparazzi found out that I was out and about in L.A. today, and decided to crash the fun the four of us were having. So when we were leaving Target, we all got bombarded. I was a little more rude than I would usually be to them.
"Genesis! Can we ask a few qustions about Jen's baby?!"
"No. It isn't any of your business, and I'm busy."
"Why not?"
"I'm busy. Not today."
"Genesis!"
"Leave me alone! Go bother someone else!"
I shoved my way through and shielded my face. Garret yelled at everyone to back off or else. I didn't want to find out what 'or else' meant, so we all hurried to his car, where we drove off to just find somewhere quiet. That quiet place ended up being an abandoned beach.
"Sorry guys. They didn't touch any of you, did they?" I apologized. "No, your fine G. We should have planned for this." Tessa sighed. "It's fine, did everyone have fun though?" Garret asked. "I'm happy, but I bet my bank account isn't!" Sammy laughed. We ended up hanging out on the beach for an hour before I got dropped off at home.
"Thanks guys! See ya later!" I yelled to them as I approached my door. They waved goodbe and I crossed my thresh hold, to be greeted by two sisters, Bella and Pippi: the dogs, and a very pregnant mother. "Hey sweetie, here let me help you with those." she said as she lifted a few bags off my hands. "Thanks." I told her as I hugged my sisters.
"Did you have fun?" she asked as I followed her to the kitchen. "Yeah, stupid paps had to join the fun though. I told them to get lost though, so be expecting a head line soon." I chuckled. That's all life was for me. If I just wanted a day out with my friends, the paps had to crash it, and I could imagine that it was only going to get worse as time goes on.
