She's Almost Here...

Jen's POV *This is new!*

Putting together a baby nursery at the last minute was not one of my greatest ideas. I mean, my little girl is gonna be here within a month! Luckily, I do have three additional sets of hands that are easily bribed with pizza and ice cream.

"Mommy, where does this thing go?" Tori asked as she carried over the crib mobile. "Go give that to Genesis. That goes over the crib." I told her.

It was like having a handy-man around with Genesis. She could build or fix basically anything. "Momma, what color is this wall gonna be?" Stella questioned. O couldn't help but laugh, she was wearing a black trashbag over her clothes to prevent from getting the paint from getting all over her.

"The pink one." I told her. She nodded and pried open the container with her little kid hands. I was doing more monitoring than actually doing due to the fact that I am eight and half months pregnant. My little girl was due any time now.

After another two hours of painting, building, and joking around we called it quits for the day. "I'm almost done with everything!" Genesis happily said to her self. I rolled my eyes and told them to come down to eat.

Genesis really had done almost all of this by herself. I was so happy to have her today and she wasn't off at dance.  The girl is just so busy that it's nice to have her around for a few days.  "G-G!  Can you let the dogs back in?  But make sure the babygate is closed." I yelled for her.

We already had the babygate set up at the bottom of the stairs so that when little baby Lawrence did make her appearance, we wouldn't have four dogs stampeding to the bedrooms when we they felt it necessary.

And yes, the dog count is up to four now.  My mutt: Pippi, Gen's Labrador Bella, and then the whole family's German Shepherd: Princess.  So now not only is it an all girl family, but also it's all girl dogs.  Any man that tries to enter our lives is going to be so outnumbered.

Soon after, there were three sets of claws running against the linoleum floor, with three sets of feet close behind.  "Sit down girls, I'll bring it over to you." I said as my two blondes and red-head came into the kitchen.  "So what needs to be done tomorrow Mom?" Genesis asked as she took her seat.

"I can paint the last wall tomorrow, but I am gonna need help putting all the extra stuff in.  Like the toys and clothes, that kind of stuff." I tell her as I bring the plates for the two little girls over.  "I'll help!" Tori and Stella exclaim at the same time.  "Awesome, I'm gonna need it." I chuckled.  "I would put myself out for loan, but I have dance tomorrow." Genesis chuckled as I handed her the plate of pizza.

I sat down myself and started eating.  I was rather proud of myself, despite the ADHD I'm pretty sure I have but have not been diagnosed with, I managed to focus on the kitchen long enough to not burn the frozen pizzas I made.  We ate in a comfortable silence for a few minutes before I jumped in pain and banged my knee on the bottom of the table.

"You okay?" Genesis immediately asked.  "I'm fine.  Baby Lawrence has decided she isn't comfortable." I chuckled.  I gripped the edge of the table as I could feel my little girl move around inside me.  It's still so weird to phathom that there is like an actual human being inside me.    And the fact that she was conceived in a somewhat unconventional way.

That's another thing I worry about.  Besides the common worries of a first time mom (I consider myself a first timer because I didn't have the girl's when they were babies, even though they are forever my babies.) I also have to worry about how the media will portray my daughter since she doesn't have a father.  I didn't even ask to meet the sperm donor, I just went with it and however my little lady turns out is going to be perfect with me.

"Ya'll wanna watch a movie?" Tori asked with her mouth still full of cheese pizza.  The little red had spent one week in Kentucky over the summer and developed the cutest southern accent.  "Sure.  Which movie?" I said.  Genesis slowly muttered from across the table, "Please don't be Frozen.  Please don't be Frozen."

"Legend of Tarzan!"  Stella blurted.  I was a little shocked by that.  She didn't seem to like it when we watched it when it came out.  I looked to the other two for the approval.  "Good with me!" Genesis sighed.  Tori nodded her head vigorously.  "Okay, set it up." I said as they finished eating their dinner.

As I finished washing the dishes and putting away the leftover food, I felt a little jab into my side.  I looked down to see the light outline of a foot on my stomach.  I smiled as I put my hand over to feel the foot of my unborn child.  "Getting cramped in there?" I teasingly asked.  The little leg recoiled and pulled the foot way, readjusting herself in the womb.

I went into the living room to see that the three girls had positioned themselves among the couches and chairs with their blankets and pillows, staring at the home screen of the movie.  As I sat down I pressed play on the movie and settled in.

I could see Gen's eyes focusing on the movie when the character Jane Porter made an appearance.  Then it hit me, Margot Robbie plays her.  Genesis was likely studying how Margot portrays characters.  I know she did that when she was on Castle, she watched so many movies and shows that had the other main actors.

I was still proud of Genesis for acing her audition at that movie.  I would love her to make the role.  They released two other cast members the other day on the celeb website I keep up with.  So far they have Owen Wilson, Margot Robbie, Jennifer Aniston, and Dave Franco.  Sounds like a pretty kick-ass cast so far.  There are still five parts that aren't chosen yet.  So far those are the main girl Katie, her best friend Taylor, and three smaller roles for the recurring neighbor kids.

I just have so much hope for all my girls.  Genesis could potentially have a movie role in one of the most anticipated family movies of the year.  Stella is becoming an amazing gymnast and contortionist.  Tori is taking the kid's fashion industry by storm.  And then I just hope that this little girl inside me just comes out happy and healthy.

So much hope to go around our growing family.
