Genesis' POV

"Nationals is in less than three months!  That seems like a long time to learn the dances you guys have, but with the time you have these dances should be nothing short of amazing!"

I stood in a line with the other dancers that Cambrie was working with today, and we were all listening to what we were doing today.  It was my first day of working on the dances for New York nationals.  I was so excited, even though I have no idea which dance I'm learning today.

There were fourteen of us standing in the dance room right now.  The whole Junior-Teen competition team, three minis that qualified for Nationals , and the four seniors that had National solos.

"I'm starting on the mini trio in here, Junior-Teen girls your in Studio C doing technique and conditioning until your prop comes in, Senior solos pick who wants to go first and head into Studio A1."  Cambrie said as she started pulling the minis over to her.  "Ooh, a prop!" August squealed as we left for Studio C.

I grabbed my stretch bands, muscle roller, phone, and water bottle on the way to the Studio.  I quick checked my social media and saw I had three new followers.  Nothing surprising.  I opened the Instagram app to see who they were and my jaw nearly dropped.  Margot Robbie, Dave Franco, and Cara Delevingne followed me on Instagram!  I squealed to myself as I did a quick happy dance.

"What's got you all happy?" Tessa asked as we opened the door to Studio C.  "Margot Robbie, Dave Franco, and Cara Delevingne followed me!" I yipped.  "Oh lucky!" Kayla said with a laugh.  "Did you follow them back?" Tessa asked.  "Yeah, like I already wasn't!" I laughed.  But it was weird, just like outta the blue I have three famous people following me.  I mean yeah I had other famous people following me but it was usually after I had met them or we did something together.

I collected myself and started stretching myself out.  Technique and conditioning class is for the most part a 'you do you' class.  We can get a teacher in there to help if we need it, but usually we just help each other out when we need it.  "Gen, my phone's almost dead.  Can we use your music today?" August asked as Tessa pulled out her Beats pill speaker.  "Yeah sure." I said as I slid my phone across the floor to Tessa to plug in.

We were all jamming to my mix of Pandora stations as we stretched, pushed personal limits, and did other strength building stuff.  I eventually pulled out my turn board to start trying to beat my turn record.  I could do thirteen consecutive turns, but I wanted to try for fifteen.  At first I got seven, then ten, nine, twelve, ten again, thirteen, eleven, thirteen again, twelve, fourteen!  I let out a sigh of happiness that I beat my record.  It wasn't fifteen but it was more than thirteen!

I got blasted out of my happy tranquility when my phone started ringing.  Since my phone was hooked up to the speaker, the classic iPhone ringtone was blasting as basically full volume through the room.  "Sorry!  Got it!" I yelled over the noise as I unplugged my phone and took it outside the Studio to answer the call.

It wasn't a number I immediately recognized, so I did my go-to answer for unknown numbers, "Hello, this is Genesis." I replied with.  "Gen, it's Angela." the voice said.  "Oh, sorry Ange.  Did you change your number?" I asked.  "No, I'm using my home phone, but I have news!" Angela said with excitement in her voice.  "Okay, what is it?" I asked, getting a little anxious.  Last time Angela had news doing a Target commercial, Capezio dance wear photo shoot, and was gonna be interviewed for Forbes all in one weekend!

"The audition you went to about a month ago?  You got the part!  They want you to be Katie Todd!" Angela was practically yelling at this point.

I was in shock at first, but then I shrieked in excitement.  "Aaaahhhhh!  NO WAY!" I screamed.  "Yes way!  They loved your audition and your additional talents." Angela told me.  I noticed that a few people in the studio stopped to look at me.  My team and Cambrie started to come out and investigate what all the yelling was about.

"Okay so, you are going to be mailed a script in about a week.  You have until January to fully prep yourself.  Filming starts the first or second week of January and goes until about mid-May in your home state of Cali.  They want to release this movie by the end of August." Angela rambled.

I was given a few more quick and minor details before Angela said she had to leave for a meeting with another client.  "Congrats Genesis.  I'll be meeting with you and your mother to go over the contract in about a week!" she said before we said our goodbyes.  I hung up and started creaming while jumping up and down.

"Hold up.  There better be a good reason you aren't in there doing your class and out here yelling like a maniac." Cambrie said with a bit of her sassy attitude.  "I got the part in the movie I auditioned for!" I screamed again.  Then everyone else joined in.  I was crashed into with a group hug by all my team mates.  Then a separate hug by Miss Cambrie.  "That is so awesome!" Cambrie told me.

"That must have been why you got followed by those people this morning!  Maybe they're doing the movie with you, and they found out before!" Kayla exclaimed.  I was just to happy to care about anything else at this moment.

"Alright new plan, in honor of Genesis getting her role in a major summer movie, I'm taking the whole team for ice cream after I work with the minis!" Cambrie announced and we all cheered.

I was gonna be in a full-on movie!
