Genesis' POV

Those two weeks came and went with Chloe. All of us spent almost every single day together. We would go to the beach, or get ice cream, go over to someone's house for a movie night and sleepover, anything to preserve the precious time we had left with each other. But today was the day where Chloe was officially leaving us for a new life in Texas with her mom. To say the least, I was not ready for her to leave. None of us were.

I left the house around ten that morning to ride my bike to Chloe's. I got dressed, told mom bye and left. I was gone before Stella and Tori were even awake. I felt like I needed to dress nice since it was the last time we would see each other so I dressed myself in a blue romper and paired it with my gold sandals.

By the time I got to Chloe's she was sitting on her front porch step with her dog. I was the first to get here I guess. "Hey." I said with a weak smile as I dropped my bike in the grass next to the 'SOLD' sign in front of her house. "Hey." Chloe replied as her dog ran over to me.

We both sat on the steps as we waited for Tessa and Jamie. "I can't believe it's already time." Chloe sighed. I nodded in response as Jamie came up the drive on her bike too. It was then just the three of us in a nearly silent awkwardness for about ten minutes until Tessa came.

"Hey guys." Tessa chirped half heartedly. "Hey Tess." We replied with an obvious sadness in the tone of voice. "Wanna come see what my house is gonna look like? We have pics inside." Chloe said. We all nodded and followed her up to what was once her room. The blank walls and empty spaces seemed so strange as they weren't decorated with dance awards and posters.

Chloe pulled out a binder and turned to a page where pictures were in clear sleeves. She started showing us the different rooms and where hers would be. "It has a basement, and my mom said I can turn it into my own little dance room." Chloe said trying to sound optimistic. We nodded as we all checked out the other rooms in the the pictures.

Eventually two hours passed and we heard the moving van rumble up the driveway. "Can you guys help me? I don't think I can get this by myself." Chloe asked. We all agreed and one by one brought the boxes labeled 'Chloe' down and outside to the van. Eventually the house was empty and it was just us watching the sweaty workers load Chloe's entire life into a van to ship halfway across the country.

"I got something for you Chlo." I said as I went to the bag I had brought with me. I pulled out a poorly wrapped box and handed it to Chloe. "You didn't have-" Chloe started before I cut her off saying to just open the darn thing. She took off the paper and it revealed a pink picture frame that said 'Miles Apart, Best Friends At Heart' in glitter gold. And inside was a picture of all of us hanging out on the beach earlier this summer.

"I love it G!" Chloe said as she tried to avoid from crying. "I knew ya would." I said with a smile. "Don't know if I wanna put this in my room or dancer's den. Don't know where I'll spend the most time!" Chloe chuckled. "We love you Chloe." Jamie said as she hugged Chloe, followed by Tessa, and then myself.

"I have something for you guys too." Chloe said as she dug in the pockets of her jean shorts. She pulled out a collection of necklaces that formed a pizza cut in fourths. And when all the necklaces were put together they magnetically connected to make a whole. "So we are always together, in a cheesy sorta way." Chloe laughed at her own pun as she gave us each our fourth.

Again it was a round of hugs as we clasped the necklaces around our necks. "I'm gonna wear mine all the time." Tessa said. "Me too." Jamie and I responded in agreement. "Chloe! They're almost done, start putting your bags and stuff in the car. We leave in twenty!" Chloe's mom called from the house.

That's when realization was setting in, we were going to lose Chloe here. "One last dance? For old times sake?" Chloe asked as we all nodded. It was a trio we did for a competition last year and Jamie loved being our judges, always giving us a perfect score. Jamie took her place in the grass to watch and we all took our places to dance.

It was a high energy trio entitled for the competition 'Oath' by Cher Lloyd. We put all of our emotion into the dance in the grass, so that maybe we could all leave on a happy note rather than a sad one. After the dance Jamie applauded and said, "For being the bestest friends ever, I give you a score of one million!" We all laughed and then realized that it was time.

Chloe went into her house and returned with her bag that was going in the car with her. She put that and her dog into the car as the moving van door slammed shut. We all stood outside her car as her mom started the engine to go. "I love you guys so much." Chloe said as we all huddled together in a hug, "Love you too." Was heard from all of us.

"Wherever you go just always remember..." I started singing, and it wasn't long for everyone else to join in. "That you got a home for now and forever, and we'll never change no matter the weather. This is my oath to you. Wherever you go just always remember, you're never alone we're birds of a feather, and we'll never change no matter the weather. This is my oath to you."

By the end we were almost all in tears. "I'm never gonna forget you guys. And I promise I'll still keep in touch and visit whenever I can. You are all gonna do amazing things." Chloe said. Chloe was then called to the car by her mom. "I love you guys so much!" We all cried through our hugs. "Bye Chloe." Was the last thing we said before she got in the car.

As her car pulled down the driveway she rolled down the window and waved her hands and called out goodbye. We chased after the car on our bikes and yelled out to her until it was out of sight. We all made the mutual decision afterwards to just go home.

And just like that Chloe was gone. But she was my best friend, and that was the oath.
