I was sitting criss crossed on Simon's bed when I heard someone enter the house with raging anger.

My feet bolted down the stairs, skipping a few in the process, and my body ended up running into someone as I reached the bottom.

"Simon!" I exclaim, looking up at him. It didn't take long for me to notice his busted lip and bleeding temple.

I wrapped my hand around his, tugging him towards the bathroom.

"What happened?" I quiz as I wash his face up.

When he reached to touch his lip, I couldn't help but catch a glimpse of his busted knuckles.

"Si," I gasp, taking hold of his hand. I clean it up as well, wrapping gauze around it so it wouldn't get infected. "What did you do?" I question, glaring at him.

"Nothi-"

"Please, Simon, I can't handle anymore lies," I plead, still gripping onto his hand.

"I taught him a lesson," he mutters, glancing at his feet.

"You," I lift his chin slightly, so he was making eye contact with me, "do not need to be so overprotective, okay? I'm fine."

"I warned him not to hurt you. And he did," he shouted.

I shake my head, now my turn to look at my feet.

"Everything alright in there?" I heard Josh ask through the door. I open it, pushing past him.

"Yup," I sighed as I walked towards the guest room.

••••

I laid on the bed, watching the birds fly gracefully past the window.

A soft knock on the door scared me, jolting upward.

"Hey, Sage," JJ said, awkwardly stepping into my room.

"What's up?" I ask as I let my legs hang over the side of my bed.

"I was just wondering if pizza sounds alright for dinner?" he asks, looking at his feet.

"Yes... what's going on, JJ?"

He snapped his head up, but dismissed my question.

"What kind is your favorite?" he questions, referring to the pizza.

"Pepperoni," I shrug.

"Basic bitch," he chuckles before exiting my room.

It was silent for a moment, until another knock sounded from the door.

I sighed, answering it.

"Hey, Sagey," Simon greeted.

"Hello," I smiled, leaning against the frame of the doorway.

"Care to play a game of Call Of Duty?"

I try to suppress my wide smile, nodding my head in response to his question.

He leads me to his room, having me sit in the extra chair that used to stand in the corner of his room.

"Don't get me killed this time," I tease after he selects to play Zombies.

"Oi, that wasn't my fault!" he defends, handing me a controller.

"You practically pushed me in front of you!" I retort, glancing at him.

"Listen, the controls on here are different than what I intended to do-"

"And what did you intend to do?" I smirk.

He sighs, "I meant to pull you behind me, being the heroic gentlemen I am in reality, but I accidentally clicked a button that caused my character to use you as a human shield," he pouts, looking at his lap.

"You're such a liar!" I exclaim, giving him a shove as we both giggle.

••••

"I'm tired, Si!" I proclaim, trying to escape his arms that had wrapped around my waist, as an attempt to put my exit on hold.

"Please watch a movie with me, Sagey!" he calls out.

I turn to face him, his arms still wrapped around my waist. He was sat on his bed, so I had the advantage of looking down on him.

"I'm just going to fall asleep," I groan, throwing my head back slightly.

"That's okay, I just don't want it to be time to separate yet," he whines.

"You're needy, Minter."

"You love me anyways, Allen."

My body went weak, causing us to fall backward onto his bed.

"Dork," I giggled as I pushed myself up, my hands pressed to his chest.

Before I rolled off of him, I gazed into his eyes, taking in the warmth I felt.

"So," I sigh, sitting beside him on his bed, "what movie you have in mind?"

"I was hoping you would pick."

"Simon-"

"You know I'm indecisive!" he proclaims. I gave him the look that told him we were relating on that topic.

"Fine," I sigh, rummaging through his stack of DVDs.

Shortly after the movie had started, I felt my eyes go heavy as I laid on Simon's chest, eventually knocking out...

I awoke with a jolt, gasping as I broke from Simon's hold.

"Sage?" he sleepily questions, sitting up. "Sagey, what's wrong?" he asks with concern, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.

"Nothing," I mumble. "I'm fine, just go back to sleep-"

"No, you aren't fine, what's happened?"

He pulls me into his embrace as I vividly explain my nightmare to him.

Even if it was just a dream, it angered Simon how I was unsafe in my sleep.

"How could I help end this?" he softly questions, rubbing his hand along my arm.

"Just hold me for now," I reply, feeling tears drop from my eyes, and onto his shirt.

"I will always be here to hold you, Sage," he says, kissing the top of my head. "I would never leave you."
