Third Person point of view
Yoongi stood by the doorway watching Taehyung curled up under the covers of the bed staring blankly out the window. After Jungkook had left in a huff he had wanted to see what the aftermath was. He didn't expect to find Taehyung so deep within his own thoughts. It brought a pensive worry to Yoongi as he watched and waited for the right time to announce his presence, a blanket of guilt weighted over him. He didn't want to hurt Taehyung, and he didn't want to hurt Jungkook. These two were a mess and it was so hard to separate their struggles from eachother because they were their own reflections; a once loveless boy overwhelmed by the fear of love and rejection.
"Taehyung," he called out after fifteen minutes of watching that ebb and flow of Taehyung's internal dialogue, painted across his face with twitches of his jaw and furrowed eyebrows. The new voice brought his eyes away from the outside world, settling on the person that had instigated his fall.
"What?" Taehyung croaked, bringing the blanket up over his lips to hide the clear indicators of his emotions. "I didn't mean to have him find out like this."
"I'm not here about Kook, I wanted to check on you," the man spoke gruffly, a sweet roughness coating his words. "Will you eat something? I won't force you."
"Later. I just want to rest right now." He nodded in understanding, flashing a quick but hopeful smile.
"Okay, if you need anything just call for me. I will be here." Taehyung gave a simple nod then turned back to staring out the window, searching each star for their hidden stories. Daehyun hadn't come back since he'd left Jungkook and him alone together. In a way it was a relief because his absence meant no further questions about who he was and why Taehyung had never mentioned him before.
There was one person he did want to speak to, unsettled by where things had been left between them. Despite Jungkook's unbearable indecisiveness, there was so much more that needed to be said. Even if he didn't want anything romantic, Taehyung still wanted to be able to give his part of the story.
"Actually." He called out, waiting a few seconds for Yoongi to retrace his way back to the doorway. "Is it okay if you ask Jungkook to come back here?" Yoongi hesitated in his reply, glancing down the hallway before nodding slightly.
"I'll see, no promises."
---
"No."
"Jungkook you have been insistent on seeing him again for years. He wants to speak to you now and suddenly you're not interested?"
"It's different now." Jungkook snapped angrily, sitting up at the balcony that brought a myriad of emotions. It was an ironic remembrance to come back to this place again. "It's different because when I see his face..." he trailed off, swallowing down a hitched cry as he stared at the balconies edge. "I can only think, what if he tries to kill me?" He shook his head in disbelief at his own thoughts, voice cracking under his trembling words. "It's so pathetic, my mind creates sick delusions of his return and yet when it actually happens I feel like I'm being pulled back to that sharp emptiness. That look in his eyes when he held me down and b-" he shuddered, "bit me."
"Did you want to speak to Jimin? He might understand more than I can." The raven haired boy nodded slightly, arms wrapping over his biceps to rest his chin against. So Yoongi left to find Jimin down in the dining room, eyes squeezed shut in a grimace as he tried to process the reality of everything. "Minnie, can I ask a favour?"
"Hmm? Yeah sure." Jimin whispered, cheeks flushing as Yoongi smiled at him for taking the request. He held out a hand for the younger, pulling him to his feet and leading him up the stairs with a determined clasp of their hands together. "What's happening?" Jimin queried, waiting to be filled in.
